I loved taking his Econ 15 course. You can clearly see that he is extremely passionate about what he is teaching. It sounded like an extremely boring course and he made it interesting and fun. 5 Quizzes and he will drop the lowest, the midterm was in class and the final was a research paper to take home.

Great accent. Great teacher. Great Content. Grading is very clear. the book is only necessary for maybe 15 pages that contain answers for the test. He takes notes for you. Study is necessary. grade based on five tests and a final.

Comment:

The only problem I had with this class is that it was only once a week. This is the best class I've taken so far, not only because of the material but the way Prof Moore presents it. He has used various sources, including his own traveling and historical excursions, to construct a class packed with insightful, useful, and relevant information.

Comment:

Knowledgable, fair, with a clear grading criteria. I dread taking non-STEM classes but Professor Moore made it so enjoyable. It was an easy A for me- NOT because he is lazy or because the material is simple, but because of his amazing lectures. He knows how to deliver complex ideas without overcomplicating things. Stay awake and engaged in lecture.

Brilliant course, well organized and thoughtful. Professor is diligent and experienced, not to mention a proficient lecturer. This class will give you an important foundational understanding of the history of capitalism, and the crucial factor of economics in human life. You'll not be sorry for taking this course.

Professor Moore admonished me for skipping class and it made a big difference in my performance, he is not afraid to be firm but incredibly nice if you show the tiniest bit of effort. Definitely one of the best professors I've ever had.

This is a fantastic class. If you have a basic understanding of US History and Macroeconomics before taking this class, it will be very easy and interesting. If you don't, it will be a lot more challenging but still very interesting. Prof. Moore is a excellent, and he's fully aware of it. Take this class, regardless of your major.

Midterm and final were much easier than the quizzes. Follow the study guide for the midterm and you will do well. I basically failed most of the multiple choice quizzes but well on the free answer midterm and final and had good attendance, and ended up with a B in the class.

I 2nd, the Hands Down Best Professor I have taken at SMC. I made sure to sit in the front of the class to avoid being distracted. Professor Moore was very inspiring and made sure we knew the material. He does a great job at making the class fun by having us repeat the answer to a topic he wants us to learn. Take his class: HIST 15/Econ split class.

Hands down best class I've ever taken. Inspired me so much I've decided to major in Economics. You can get an A or B if you listen to lectures and study the syllabus. I hardly read the book and got A's on nearly all my quizzes. He's funny and makes the class very interesting. Never saw any student miss one class during the semester!

I took notes every class and read the reading material/notes 2-3 hours before class and got an easy A. From what I remember it was like 5 quizzes (he drops one), mid term and a 2 topic essay final you brought in. Kinda guy you wouldn't mind having a beer with and shooting the ish with. Dr. Moore is an incredible professor. I took his class over a year ago and was thinking about him today and how I never gave him a review here. I had no interest in econ OR history prior to taking his course, but he managed to make both topics extremely entertaining. Fantastic lecturer, fair grader, and unbelievably knowledgeable. Take him.

Awesome professor. You never thought this content could be interesting but it's a great perspective! It IS dry at times but this is the guy you want in front of you when it gets that way- funny, smart, laid back. Outlines his lectures, tells you exactly what bits of the books to read, and chooses cheap books w/ good content. Love the accent <3 haha
