His lectures don't always have a lot to do with his tests, but the tests can be pretty easy and straightforward. He even gave out some answers during a midterm once. He makes the class interesting, and he's a pretty cool guy.

David Nutter is a nut job. He never knew how to work his own computer, always claiming that "This worked when I did it at home..." but for some reason it never worked in lecture. He's a pretty funny man. Lectures are boring but observing him in action is entertaining. Please join "Nutter Butter" group on facebook!

His Music 10 class is pretty easy on your GPA as long as you just do the work and study the songs a bit. Reading the book is not necessary at all (though definitely read the song charts) and neither is attending the lecture, though you should attend discussion. He's more interested in letting students explore music so he doesn't make it difficult.

I thought this class was really easy, but if you're not already a musician or have some such experience, I think you'd be at a disadvantage as far as terms, etc. Lectures weren't very helpful, if you kept up on the reading and listened to the pieces, you'd do fine in the class. Midterm and final were incredibly easy if you knew the terms and music.

Professor is funny; his last name suits him well. Lectures were useless, writing assignments tedious but not hard to BS. Mandatory discussion. Midterm-15% Final- 20% Essays-25% In class listening quizzes-20% Listening logs-15% Discussion-5% Lots of tedious work but material is not hard if you keep up with reading. Learned a lot about music :)

First things first...great dark sense of humor. Major points for that...but no organization and then tried to make us do a term paper last minute. The class was not very rewarding and I slept through the majority of it. But the guy is nice and pretty fun.

Oh dear. No syllabus, no assignments except short summaries of our few reading assignments. A class for music history majors with no exams, no papers...? Assigns readings as he pleases. Just plain wrong for upper-division. Even admits his own laziness
