Amazing class. Not an easy "A", though. If you ask him nicely and you have a good rapport with him, ask to see his CV. It's a million pages long! The guy is a total BRAIN and speaks so many languages! Nice guy. I use what I learned in that class now as a speech therapist.

nice easy class! Professor seems genuinely intrigued by the topic and he looks like a cute mr. magoo! You actually learn a bit of interesting things about sign language. I highly suggest this class for Muir Multicultural diversity requirement. :)

This man is a genius! Do ALL the reading in lign7. Morphology is hard and his grading scale is very UNclear; go to office hours. I agree he is quite soft spoken and very congenial. He is tough, but totally worth it; he's very passionate and you learn a lot!

One thing I wish I new before taking the midterm and final, is that not only are the readings a big part but also the grammer rules of sign language, so pay attention to and study that part really well. If you know sign language, this class would be a breeze for you.

Great, helpful teacher. Lectures are very interesting and informative, do ATTEND them. As some people have said before, you can pass the quizzes but still fail the midterm and final. A lot of reading is required. Make sure you dont fall behind or you'll end up suffering.

professor is really passionate about his course so he's willing to answer any questions you have. he tries really hard to remember your name whenever you pose a question. online quizzes/tutorials are easy. midterms okay. as long as you keep up with the reading & lectures you'll do fine. he's awesome

He knows so much it's amazing! His lectures brought out very interesting aspects about the deaf culture that I never knew. Oh yes, tests are a bit tricky but just do readings and go to class. That should do.

Very interested in his material, though class does get a bit boring. Overall though, the material is interesting. Midterm was kinda difficult because you had to extend your mind from just simple facts. Do reading, understand the concepts, you'll be okay.
