Super easy class! He's really passionate about what he teaches. But lectures can be boring. Study your handouts before tests. Go to any musical performance you can and you will definitely pass! Would definitely recommend him!

This man is truely awesome. There is no textbook, so he saves you money but also to pass the tests you must be at class everyday. I enjoyed his humor and his Mario Mustash! He is my favorite teacher at Concord, and my major isn't even music. Portor gets a +10 from me.

This class taught me nothing. Porter has to give percentage points for attending concerts becuase he doesn't know how to teach or give tests. It isn't a difficult class, but it's not worth 3 hrs of your time a week either.

He's one of the most easygoing ppl at CU! Class is boring, but its an easy A. Attendance not required; textbook not required. Just study the hand outs b4 tests and you can do well. He offers tons of extra credit. Go with Porter!

Porter is unbelievable and exciting. He's the best on the roster. He's a 10. But beware, you might have a final grade slip up and fail over mere accident. He's a great bootleg and intense lover for the tunage. What a trip!

This is by far the easiest class I've ever had at Concord. If you just go to class on a semi-regular basis, go to 3 concerts at school (they're free), and look over the handout before a test there is no reason why you can't get an A. Seriously, if you need a fine arts credit, TAKE THIS CLASS!

Dave Porter is one of the top five trumpet players in the eastern united states. If you play the trumpet take lessons from this man. Anywhere else in the world you would have to pay hand over fist for private study with an instructor of his caliber(if there even are other instructors of his caliber)
