Comment:

If you can take Prof. Schwarz for calc then do it, I would go out of my way to take her again. Don't get the text book because you won't need it, just show up and pay attention in class. Show your work on tests, and if something doesn't make sense in lecture then just ask after class. She is more than willing to explain things again. Great teacher.

Comment:

Made the subjects being taught very simple and easy to understand. Was very clear on what was expected from you and what would be on the exams. Went to office hours every week and just worked on homework with her. Very funny and understanding. Going to office hours made off at the end of the semester.

She is a cutie! She made the material really easy to understand and her HW / WS in recitation are harder than her quizzes / tests to prepare you. She recognizes students and will remember you. Gives extra % to your grade for good attendance at the end. Drops lowest HW & quiz scores. Took her for calc 1 & 2. Would take again!

She is great. Took her for Calc I and II and passed with an A in both. Struggled through calculus in high school and took her calculus classes my sophomore year at UT, and did well. Her lectures are very easy to follow and there are a lot of notes, but she moves through the slide at a good pace so you have time to get down all important info.

her lectures come straight from the textbook. I highly recommend taking notes one chapter ahead so lecture material sounds more familiar.

She is amazing! She is sup approachable and rewards you with extra credit if you correct her! She makes office ours very comfortable and really spend time with you one on one if you want it. I struggled in high school math where the highest I took was CP Algebra and ended up getting 99, 98, 94 on the exams and A+ on the final. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

She is such a good professor. Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you don't show up you can get behind in the material. She posts all the lectures to blackboard after class which is helpful. There is textbook homework but it isn't checked or graded. I didn't use the textbook once. She tells you exactly what will be on the quizzes and exams.

Dr Weck-Schwarz is one of the best math teachers ever. She made calculus easy for me. If you have to take a math class, take her! Her lectures are clear and extensive; we often went over one topic in class, followed with a lot of examples. She always answered questions. Follow the review sheet for the test; it's basically the same thing.

If you have a choice on who to have for calculus definitely take her. She is very caring about grades and understanding the material. Comes in to recitation review sessions before exams to clear up questions. If you can do the review sheets for exams, then you can easily pass the exam. Easy A.

She has a bit of an accent which makes some of what she say hard to understand but you can always ask for clarification. Whether it is before class, after class, or during one of her many office hours she is always available to help. I received a B + in the class but that is just because I am not that good at calc.

A truly exceptional math professor. She is a great professor to take, especially if your math is a bit rusty, because she is so good at breaking problems down into simple steps. She is very helpful during office hours and is there for you whenever you need it.

I only had her for the last 4 weeks because Sutherland jumped ship, but I am so happy we got her. She truly made math fun again! I enjoyed every lecture and she helped as much as she could! One of the best teachers I have ever had the joyed of having. HIGHLY recommend!

Good professor. Clear and easy to understand. Has a slight accent. Don't bother buying the book you will never use it. She goes over many examples in her lectures. Provides you with what is going to be on the quiz and the tests. If you show up for class and pay attention there is no reason not to get an A.

By far best professor at UT. Easy to understand, very approachable and an easy A. Has the TAs go over the questions on the quiz (and the answers) before the quiz. Basically gives you the exams before you take them. plenty of extra credit and will boost your grade if you attend class (takes attendance) Don't buy the textbook you don't use it at all

I took Weck-Schwarz for both calculus 1 and 2 and she is by far one of my favorite professors at UT. She gives a lot of extra credit if you explain things on tests and quizzes. If you're between grades and you actually go to class, she'll bump you up to a higher grade. All in all, it's an easy A if you pay attention and ask if you have questions.

Dr. Weck-Schwarz has to be the best calculus professor at UT! Aside from most, you can understand her. (She does have a SLIGHT accent) She is very thorough in explaining difficult topics. Many examples done in class. Be sure to do the online homework because it does boost your grade! She also drops 2 lowest quiz scores :)! She takes attendance too!

Great professor! Moves a bit fast sometimes during lectures, but explains everything very clearly. Willing to spend extra time or time outside of class helping students to understand calculus. Exams are a bit tough, but basically what you'll learn in the class. Cool accent as well!
