I am grateful I took his class. It has been a number of years, but his class is the one that got me over my terror of math classes. He was knowledgeable, fair, and kind.

He's a very nice man who will help you if you seek it out. His lectures are sometimes a little hard to follow, but he'll always answer any questions you have in class and the quizzes and tests generally are similar to the homework.

He will help you if you ask for it. The homework is difficult, but if you understand it you will do well on his tests. The textbook he uses is less than average. He isn't the best professor I have ever had, but he is better than most in the math department.

So grateful that I had him as a teacher. I went to him for help often and he went through homework problems with me. His tests and quizzes aren't too bad. Make sure you do the homework because thats pretty much the test and quizzes. Doesn't give ridiculous tough questions either on tests. Go to class and put some effort and you should be fine :)

Dr. Quigg is a good professor. His lectures are pretty clear. He moves at a slow pace and his grading curve is awesome. He offers minimal help but will refer you to the best tutor on campus for help. Come to class, do your homework and the study quizzes to prepare for tests and you will pass.

He's an awesome teacher! He get really excited to teach you the material so it comes off a little weird but he gets the job done. I would recommend going to classes because he teaches the material way better than the books. I recommend him full heartedly!!

He is such a good teacher. He explains topics so well and in depth. I am the type of person who can learn from just lectures, I never did one homework problem and I got an A because i showed up and listened in class. The tests and quizzes are not hard if you understand the topics he teaches in class. Ask questions, because he will answer!

He can be a huge jerk, and doesn't explain things very well. The homework grader is ridiculous and even though I got 100 on the tests I got C's on the homework. Doesn't make sense but whatever. I didnt like him at all.

Quigg's lecures can get boring and repetitive in this class, and the homework load is somewhat over the top, on the other hand the tests are so easy. I got 70s on the homework and 97-100 on all the tests.

I felt that Dr. Quigg did a good job teaching a class that I had absolutely no interest in prior to its start. If you keep up with the homework and ask questions in class, you should be able to comprehend what is going on. Sometimes he moves a little fast, but don't be afraid to speak up and ask for clarification.

This was my 2nd course with Quigg and once again I couldn't understand him and was failing his class. I don't know how people like him as a teacher. What sucks though is that he is the only teacher for a couple of these classes so I am stuck no matter what. I am someone who sees a C as failing and I pray for a C in his classes.

Hard class but it was a summer course. Very particular in grading and uses the most difficult problems associated with the chapters. Does curve the tests and adjust grading scale since I think he knows he is a tough teacher. DO THE HOMEWORK!!!

He is energetic which makes the long lectures a bit more bearable. His grading is a bit nit picky both on the tests/quizzes and on the video question sheets. I would recommend him- he speaks english and explains things fairly well. Do the homework- he will answer questions about it the next class.

What a joke of a teacher. This man is so terribel at communicating ideas. He probably understands them, but cannot TEACH them well. We fly thru material and have no time to soak it in. His videos he shows are a joke. The only reason he gives them is to make you answer questions on them so he can grade hard and make sure you get docked pts BEWARE!

He might be the best mathematics professor at BU. The most helpful guy; one time, he even put aside his lunch to help me out. He could be somewhat tough sometimes but when is math easy? Make sure you do your homework all the time.
