Extremely smart and eloquent speaker. I was truly lucky to have run into this professor. Dave is very concerned about his students and tries so hard to engage and help them. Too many students are not interested in literature and expected a free ride. Not so, Dr. Reddall is here to impart knowledge and ensure you earn your grade.

Reddall is amazing, if at times a little confusing. Loves to use his massive vocabulary, and you will be writing down those words to learn them. I had him my first term in my first year and he taught me more than any other prof has managed to. While his marking takes awhile, he manages to do a fair job of it, complete with helpful comments

Professor Reddall did a great job. The course, and the manner in which it was presented, gave us, as students, as good a survey of Canadian Literature as one can recieve in a one semester course. The discussions in class challenged students to think critically and articulate those thoughts in an articulate and concise manner.

Takes forever to mark anything! It took 6 weeks to get our short papers back and over a month to find out our final marks which is a bit ridiculous. If you go to class and read the stories his midterms are pretty straight forward. As long as you can comprehend the stories and write a decent essay this class will be a breeze. I found it easy.

decent guy, but takes forever to mark, it's already the winter semester starting tmr and I still don't know what my mark is! I am infuriated and I wouldn't recommend his course unless you are looking for a hard time and slow marks, even if u end up doing well, not worth it!!!!

I like David as a person, but he is frustrating as a prof. He is disorganized, hard to understand. If you are in first year, do not take a class with him yet. Based on his expectations & teaching style, he should be teaching a 400-level English class. I could never get ahold of him for help because he doesn't check his email or go to office hours.

He’s like a walking dictionary. His vocabulary is massive. I didn’t have a hard time following him, but I know a lot people did. He can be quite funny if it doesn’t go over your head. He marks easy and he is quite helpful. I wouldn’t suggest any of his classes for a first year. It can be quite overwhelming if you’re not used to university courses.

He is a really nice guy, very smart and funny, however he is VERY disorganized. He was late most of the time, took 6 weeks before returning assignments and his teaching was boring (his vocab was amusing at first and then got old and hard to listen to) and i dont feel i learned anything at all besides reading a bunch of different texts.avoid if u ca

If you aren't an english buff or at least good with english you will have trouble following along. But if you are you should love his class. He is objective and not that hard of a marker in my estimation. No one in my class failed the first paper. Very entertaining, took a while to get my paper back but in the end the class is good.

How did he get a chili pepper? Very very funny and interesting, huge vocab. Marks his essays very hard, the first one I wrote he called it "the plague" in his comments...1st fail ever, I cried. The next essay he gave me a very good mark for "sheer cheekiness" and not because it was a really good paper. Got an F but no regrets, it was a fun class.

David, a man with a vocabulary that could fill a dictionary. If I didn't see David in class I would constantly see him at the pub. Participate, participate, participate, he is definitely easier to talk to when you show interest in his class. He is passionate about the readings, which made reading them much more interesting. Smart wit is a must!

What say I now? Spiel! This guy is pure Spiel. A prince among profs. The demon talker should be heeded, and his hermeneutical jamboree encouraged to continue.

David Reddall was a very eloquant and compassionate professor. He expects a lot, but he puts a lot of work into his classes and he is always willing to help you out. Note: Watch out for pop quizes, and SPEND TIME ON ESSAYS because he marks harder than most teachers for writing!
