Comment:
This is the worst math professor I have ever had. He is not helpful at all, and he does everything so confusing. He will take off way too many points in tests and homework for the simplest arithmetic mistake. Avoid him, you won't learn anything from him.

I took Linear Algebra with him. He was the worst professor I have ever had. His handwriting is illegible. His tests were impossible. I would ask him what is going to be on the test, and he will respond. Only what he said will be on the test, is not. Stay away from him. He is a very hard grader, and makes the subject impossible.

Comment:
Sure, Prof Robbins comes off as cold and unhelpful. However, that's the point. He wants his students to discover the rewards of mathematics by letting them suffer through the thinking process. Few professors in Trinity treat their undergrads like graduate students; Prof Robbins does, and it's kind of refreshing, to be honest.

This professor is the worst one I had while at Trinity. If I was to take the class again I would definitely wait for another professor another semester. Stay away from him

Had linear algebra with him. He's hard but the workload is manageable. I didn't put in much effort; when I put in work during the last bit of the semester, my grades skyrocketed (relatively). Put the effort in his class and you'll do just fine. He is a hard teacher but he's willing to help you. You feel like a grad student when you're in his class.

He just writes down and explains proofs from the book in class. Whenever someone asks for an example he says that he want to finish his lesson first but never gets to the example. There are tons of other great calc and stats teachers so dont put yourself through his class! his handwriting is illegible, he doesnt know how to teach, and tests are hard

Comment:
Professor Robbins does not actually teach math,he basically regurgitates the proofs found in the text. That being said, if you can earn a decent grade in his course, you can probably do anything. Sharpen up those study skills, because you will need them! You will essentially be forced to learn the material on your own from the text.

Worst professor I've had here, bar none. Illegible handwriting(cursive), lectures consist of tedious proofs and he doesn't actually teach us how to do anything! Makes math VERY unenjoyable, even to someone who USED to enjoy it! Don't take him. Please.

Professor Robbins is the ultimate math teacher!! If you don't understand what he is talking about, maybe you should talk to him after class instead of badmouthing him on the internet. Doing the homework helps a lot too.

Run! Drop this course! NOW! before it's too late! his writing is unreadable, his tests are too hard, one day warning for quizes. You can't follow him writing on the board. One way ticket to academic probation if you dont work very hard.

I took his class for 2 months before dropping it. He ruined my life-long love of math. I would rather be forced through a wire screen by the callused hands the Duke of Those Willingly Led Astray than sit in his class. His diet coke is the blood of infants

This 1.5 credits and it shows: class moves fast. Lectures are complete so fill in the jumps after class. Do the homework and ask questions. Quizes and exams are like class - hard but no harder. Extra credit helpful to class and grade but start early!

He grades extrememly hard and is vengeful. If you are in his class be very wary of him getting a grudge against you. His lectures are not informative and difficult to follow. He needs to lay off the diet coke and readjust his personality.
