Prof Rolls is a good teacher and he knows his calc but calculus is just difficult no matter who its with. if you didn't take it in high school, i wouldn't take it now. i took it in high school so it was easy enough and i ended up with a 95.

I think Rolls is a great professor. He does get kind of crazy with notation sometimes, but if you just bring him back down to earth and ask what exactly you are trying to solve for, the class is a piece of cake. And as for the homework and maple, they aren't anything that an hour in the math lab between classes can't get you a 100 on.

Totally sounds like Kermit the Frog. Super-easy calc class (as opposed to other profs at UNCW), but fairly boring and quite a bit of assigned & graded HW. Stay on top of the workload and you're fine.

Yeah he definitely sounds like kermit the frog. He moves too fast and when he asks if anyone has any questions, no one raises there hands because everyone has so many questions they don't know where to begin asking. I really hate his class, I am probably going to fail calculus and I definitely can't afford that. Damn him.

The class moves rather quickly, but Rolls is a good teacher. He explains calc in a way that helps the students better visualize what we are doing. I recommand him before any of the other calculus professors. Very smart guy.

I hated stats before taking this class. Professor Rolls explains the material well and even manages to keep the class interesting by tying it in to his research. I would be willing to take more stats classes in the future provided that the professor is as good as Dr Rolls.

Seriously, don't take this class unless you have already had calculus. Tests are hard and homework questions are the hardest ones from the sections. DON'T take this class if you are not really good at math and if you don't pick things up REALLY quickly.
