Dr. Patrick is a wonderful teacher if you want to learn. Once you realize that the reading and writing in her class is through facilitaion and not spoon feeding you will succeed. She has given me the basis to teach AP classes in my high school - excellent teacher.

A very nice teacher. I was a bit put off on the first day with her becuase she seems very, very strange, but don't let it bother you. She's very helpful and good at her job, and if you show up for class and give a solid effort, you'll do well.

I have had Dr. Patrick for both seminars. I find her to be laid back. You just need to particpate in class. Make a voice for yourself. She will definitly help you with your papers. All you need to do is ask. I think its easy to get a B to an A in her class. Four papers and the reading is phenomenal.

Dr. Patrick is extremely helpful, & wants you to talk about your papers with her. She loves new ideas and different ways of looking at things. Enjoys talking about everything and anything in class which made the class a very relaxed atmosphere. I felt that she wanted her students to succeed,& I didn't see any favoritism, I thought she like everyone

very disappointed with this professor! Did well in all my other english courses except this one! she def has her favoirtes! if she doesn't like your writing style she will put you down...she will make you feel stupid! I did the assignments and put in a lot of effort...still didn't do very well! don't take this teacher..she is not fair

Maybe she tries to change your writing style because you're simply not a good writer. Just a thought. Anyway, Dr. Patrick is pretty much amazing. The writing techniques and critical skills she taught me have been extremely useful in grad school. Take her classes if you're a serious English major; if not, don't waste her time or your classmates'.

Honestly I don't care how nice she "seems" this is the WORST english prof. She never discusses much about the books. She also doesn't help at all especially if u have questions. She tries to switch ur writing to how she likes it. If I were ya I would stay way from her.

She is one of my personal favorites. She's tough and hard to impress, but she is one of the ONLY profs that will let you think outside the box, even if she doesn't agree. She CARES and she's excellent as an educator. She can be a tough grader, just put true effort into your work and she will reward you for it. I miss her in seminar this semester.

Great person and I really like her, but she cancels A LOT and lets you go early EVERY class. If you like that, take her! Due to her teaching style and the fact that she cancelled half the classes, I felt like this was a self taught class. Was not that impressed at all.

Why doesn't somebody just say it? Yeah, she is a nice person, and I really liked her alot myself, but she is a horrible teacher. I enjoyed she missed class often, because I understood the work and got an A, but for someone who really needs thorough lecturing, especially with a subject like grammar, keep away. Also, I really like to learn.

She is great just great I can't even think of words. There are always American Studies majors in her classes, and they never do well and bore the english majors. Babs is a hard grader and takes this seriously she conditions you to be an awesome English major but you have to work at it too.
