Comment:

Professor Rubin made my first semester at Syracuse so much more enjoyable. His lectures are interesting and the tests are made up of mostly basic lecture material. He makes it easy for you to earn extra credit and succeed in class. Tests are easy if you pay attention and take notes, only used the textbook for vocab words. I loved his class and him!

I loved Dean Rubin! I'm so glad I had him as my COM 107 professor, incredibly knowledgable, runs class with opportunity to expand on topics with clarity, but also addressing everything you need to know for the tests in great detail. You will always know when a current event quiz is coming, and if you read up you're fine!

Rubin was easily my favorite professor during my first year at Newhouse. He cares about his students and the material he teaches. I couldn't wait to go to lecture every morning at 8am. He's not easy, but he holds office hours constantly and gives lots of chances for you to earn extra credit. If you get the chance to have him, TAKE IT. He's the man.

The man cares about his students, he cares about his subject, and he cares about Newhouse. He wants you to succeed, but hands nothing to you. You not only learn the material in his course but you learn about yourself. I truly recommend David Rubin, even at 8 AM. Definitely worth it.

Professor Rubin is such a quality professor. He's very fair but not an extremely easy grader. Makes an effort to make the class interesting and fun even at 8am. I would highly recommend taking COM 107 with Rubin, he will make the experience so much better. Love him

Rubin is my favorite professor. I kinda wish he was my Grandfather, he's that awesome. You'll do well in his class if you put in effort. His lectures are really interesting and I've never skipped even though it's an 8AM. Most importantly, he cares about his students, he will take the time to learn everyone's name even in a big class like that.

Best professor I've had at Syracuse. He takes the time to learn something about every single one of the students in his lecture and keeps touch once the course is over. A genuinely good person and cares about the material he teaches. He is very knowledgable and is always available to set up appts to help students.

Professor Rubin is fantastic! He has a lot of interesting things to say and is extremely qualified to teach this course. Had class at 8 AM and I still looked forward to it. Tests are very fair. Kinda tough when grading papers, but still fair, and helpful for the rewrite. I spent a little time with the textbook, and hardly any with the Race Beat.

Professor Rubin is the man. Not once did I EVER feel drowsy during his lectures. He takes time to learn everybody's names, and engages students in lecture. His knowledge of the past, present, and predictions of the future media are astounding and fascinating. Highly recommended.

Prof Rubin (or DR) is the best professor to teach law. I am an international student and he made the American law so easy for me to understand that I got and A in the tests! :)
