Awesome professor, he is passionate about his work and is always going in depth on the material. He taught a flipped classroom style (read sections, and quiz at home, discuss material in the following class). He offers extra credit and curves tests if the average is poor. Be sure to attend class because of iClicker quizzes and pre-assessments daily

Worst professor I have ever had. Rude, self absorbed AND unhelpful. Totally unapproachable. Avoid at all cost!

Professor Rudge was great, it is obvious he loves what he does, and his enthusiasm was appreciated. The content isn't difficult, show up to his lectures, use your resources, and you'll be fine. He gives practice quizzes and exams with the possibility of the same questions being on the real things. There is no excuse for failing.

if you take the time to do your work and learn what you need to. Class usually lasts 30-50 minutes, & usually consists of students asking questions, a few i-clicker questions (which also track attendance points), and there is usually a preassessment. All of the quizzes and YES EXAMS are on e-learning.

Easily the best prof I've had so far. Flipped classroom setting but is very easy. Questions on exams and online quizzes have the same questions as the online practice tests so do take those. Very caring and understanding. I once accidentally took the wrong online quiz and he even reopened it for me AND gave me extra days. Great guy!

Dr. Rudge, or "uncle Dave" as he likes to jokingly call himself, is a very good professor. He makes it very easy to do well in the class with the flipped classroom setting. He also has all of his test questions out of a test bank, so if you take the practice quizzes, you should Get an A on tests. However, you'll have homework every night.

I really enjoyed this biology professor. Almost everything is online, which at first I didn't like, but throughout the semester I began to love it. He gives you practice exams which help out SO MUCH. The iclicker is also used in almost every class discussion. There is also homework almost every class, but it's not too hard.

I liked Dave as my Teacher, yes he expects you to do a lot of homework and make you work for your grade. However he is fair and the homework is not that hard. You will get a very good grade in his class if you do the homework, which prepares you for his exams. He is a bit of a goofball.

This class is difficult if you do not read the entire chapters for the exams. He has curved all exams so far. His flipped classroom makes you read and learn everything by yourself that can get somewhat difficult at times. All his online quizzes and homework is easy. You are able to retake the quizzes as much as you like. It is a hard class.

Rudge is the bio professor you want! If you do the homework and study for exams you'll do well. He curved every exam! He offered lots of help. Sometimes he was confusing when you asked questions, but the concepts aren't hard. Also the flipped classroom created a lot of homework, but that's better than listening to him lecture.

He used the flipped classroom so you're on your own to learn the material. In class he just answers questions, and if no one asks them, he gives you a group assignment and then you leave. 3 i-clicker questions every class but you can skip a lot and still get an A. All the homework is online and it's boring and lengthy. Gets to be a boring class.

Little crazy at times. took class in summer. Sometimes marks you down on test even though its what he asked for-talk to him about it. Not too bad of a class, interesting-dissect a sheep's heart, not too hard, you have to study but you'll make it. Not to much homework. Overall pretty good, easy class.

I had him for lecture and the class was useless. All you do is watch a movie and take notes. Peoples work always comes up missing in the class.

Known a one of the 'harder' profs. He is very helpful and will make you think even as he explains things clearly. A very good prof and if you are a motivated, invovled student you are likely to have a very good experience.

I've learned a lot from this course. I think Dave is a great instructor. He doesn't cater to slacker students. The projects are challenging, but so is life. He makes an incredible effort to improve the course and takes student feedback very seriously. Science scares me, but Dave made it interesting and understandable.

At first I really liked him as a teacher. He was weird but it was really funny. Then he assigned two group projects right in a row...the first he offered some inclass help but ABSOLUTELY NONE for the second. Became really grumpy and snippy with everyone in our class. Was really disappointing.

I took Dave twice and would have taken any class he taught. Though his akward humor may be hard to get used to at first, I have nothing but good things to say about him. He's completely dedicated and faithful to WMU and his students, and a very smart man. If you want to push yourself and use parts of your brain you haven't before, take Dave!
