She is a very interested and caring kind of teacher which is great to have. She is always helpful and endlessly knowledgeable. I think the only reason she bothers with the book is so she can give tests and make a syllabus to keep the university off her back. Other than that, the assignments for her class are useful for personal development.

I didn't exactly like this class. I felt very intimidated to say anything that was against her views or those in the class. If you are not a liberal, don't take this class. I'm mostly a moderate and I continuously felt like I could not express myself without being attacked by people in the class or her.

Edie is ****ing incredible. She gives such a different spin on the way we see our world. This class is a fantastic learning experience, if you have an open enough mind. Do your papers ahead of time, or they take forever. Class content doesn't follow reading at all, but is so enjoyable that it doesn't matter.

Edie is my fav. prof ever! Papers are very important in this class for personal growth and acquiring a decent grade. This is not a difficult class as long as you participate and do you assignments. If you do your assignments ahead of time, it is better.
