He is a really nice teacher and very easy grader. He usually has the students start discussing the reading or if someone has questions. He shows a lot of videos and has guests come in. Overall, I recommend taking any of his classes.

He's a really chill teacher. Usually only assigns papers and as long as you turn them in by the end of the semester, you'll get an A or B on them. Lectures can get a bit confusing but if you tell him that you have no idea what he's talking about, he'll do his best to clarify.

David Smith is one of the most brilliant professors I've ever had. His class broke down concepts in ways I never had considered. He is willing to do anything in his power to help you understand. He is just there to make you learn. I could not stress how much you should take a course with him!

He stinks. Literally almost made me want to transfer that' how much this professor ruined my first year experience. No matter what you do, it is never good enough. He doesn't care about his students, and most certainly dose not put in the effort to help them. He just sits there and thinks that you already know everything. He also just annoying.

He was the worst teacher ever. I would never take his class again. He is rude and does not help you whatsoever. If you have the option to take someone else, do it! You will regret it if you have him. Steer clear of him!

This teacher is not very helpful at all. He says that all you have to do is give your opinion and participate in class, when in reality he really doesn't care. He bases his grades based on how you act in class (whether or not you participate or give effort). Overall, I felt this class did not help at all and I would not recommend this to anyone.

This guy is amazing, he can take an amazingly complex and obscure topic and make it understandable. He really only cares that you learn the material, he doesnt overly concern himself with due dates, and will take late papers with no grade deduction. AMAZING PROFESSOR

Smith's great! Wants everyone to understand and paces the class accordingly. The material was hard 4 me (as a bio major) but if you show up, put in the effort (3 papers, 2 "tests") you'll do just fine. You can't not like this guy...he's too cool!

Smith is a great philosophy teacher. He introduces material at a comfortable pace and makes sure everyone understands. The class is extremely lax, to the point where he doesn't mind if students skip. Grades are based on a few papers that are easy to ace as long as long as you pay attention in class. He even lets you rewrite them.

All Dave wanted from students were for them to come and listen and then write about 4 papers in response with our own opinions. He just wanted us to explore and by having the views he has, it's fun to take class because you learn without really being forced to.

the abslolute best teacher ever. His lack of strict american rules makes it so much easier to focus on the discussion instead of worrying about some dumb test or attendabce requirement. I have learned more from him than any other professor

He is able to take complex issues on the mind and turn them into an easy understanding of the material. He helps you to formulate your papers and if they are wrong then he lets you rewrite them until they are right. He is so intelligent and has a lot of interesting things to say.
