Very smart, funny; LOVES to read poetry/ plays aloud, loves to talk. Soothing voice, easy to fall asleep to; but has interesting things to day. (And for the record, he's 71; he mentioned his date of birth in clas ('35).)

very smart man, knows his stuff. has incredibly irritating habit of constantly talking about himself and sharing too much about himself and his family. very egotistical or insecure, i cant decide which. goes off on too many tangents. strangely though, hes a very sweet man.

Sofield is great. So helpful and smart, all he wants to do is teach the students and get them interested in the material. At times it gets a little boring in class, but it is poetry after all and cant be action packed all the time. Take classes with him.
