interesting techer overall, but his tests focuses on little details and are extremely tricky and difficult. Avoid this class at all costs unless you enjoy taking super hard tests.

By far one of the most amazing teachers I've ever experienced. Dr. Stanley knows his stuff- and he expects you to know it too! Make sure to take excellent notes and go to office hours- he's super helpful.

He really is an excellent lecturer- knows his stuff, and make the concepts and the memorization flow together. You have to take notes on everything. He is a tuff grader- but I really thought it was worth it. Make sure that you pay lots of attention to the end notes of your research paper-- he will fail your paper if you mess up citations!!

I have learned more from Dr. Stanley than any other UF professor. As long as you take good notes, you can get an A. Classes are concept based instead of memorization. The man is a genious and knows so much. I'd rather get a B in his class than an A in a class I hated. If you're an ARH major you have to have him at least once.

Interesting lectures, but a harsh grader. He openly accused me of sabatoging another student. Would not accept my paper even a few minutes late. prefers to fail students and completely non supportive. NEVER take this class if you have any disabilities!

I thought the class was kind of interesting, but so hard. He makes everything so difficult. And you either have to do things exactly the way he wants them, or he fails you. And if you take him, be prepared to devote most of your time to his class only.

Lovely class, lovely teacher. very engaging lectures almost as though he is a broadway actor in the theater. He cares about students who care about learning. Don't be late. i missed only 3 classes all semester and paid attention in class and got an A, the exams are easy if you try, i actually managed a perfect score on one so its not impossible.

Totally awful professor. Clear and interesting lectures, but he expects you to regurgitate all the information in the lectures on his exams, and if you don't he gives you an F. Literally an F. I had never gotten below a B on a paper in college until this class. Also totally plays favorites. NEVER take two of his classes at once and if you take one prepare to work all the time and pucker up because you'll be kissing a lot of ass if you want to get an A. 3/4 of the class dropped.

27 out of 35 students dropped his class when i took italian renaissance art, about 2 years ago. thorough teacher, but pretty rude. yelled at our class and embarrassed a student, so much so that she cried--totally unnecessary. when i had survey with him, he locked me out of class for being 2 minutes late, but i was on CRUTCHES.

Took several classes from Stanley, he is very tough but fair. Show up EARLY for class, write down everything he says and study that. He doesn't like lazy or stupid people. Be very prepared and go to office hours, he likes that.

Take COPIOUS notes in class. The exam questions, while multiple choice, are very challenging if you haven't taken good notes in class and studied them thoroughly. NOT for people looking for easy As. Oh, and always get to class at least 10 or 15 minutes early. Don't even bother going in late, he'll kick you out.

GO TO CLASS -AND DON'T BE LATE - He's a very thorough professor - he knows what he's talking about and most of what you cover in class he has seen himself - the exams though are very tricky and unclear - The TA's help some -but the questions come from his lectures and discussion- dont buy the book

He knows his stuff, but it's nearly impossible to get an A in the class. Test questions are unclear and ambiguous, he contradicts what he says in lectures, and the TAs aren't very helpful either. Only take this if you have to, and if you do... good luck.

Tough but dynamic professor. Never be late, always take good notes and take advantage of his office hours; you will earn his respect if you are a frequent (and well prepared) office visitor..trust me; I got a great grad school letter of rec out of him,

It's a good class but Dr. Stanley is anything but an easy teacher. GO TO CLASS! Write down everything he says in class. Go to Discussion just to learn new material but go mainly by what Stanley says b/c that's what's on the test. oh and never be late!
