I was very interested in marketing until I started class with this guy. He makes the subjects very unappealing he does not encourage any participation what so ever in his class discussions he knows his stuff but so what if he cant teach it. Acts like this is an English class. He tells the same useless stories over and over. Awful teacher sorry.

He knows the content, but his not clear, very vague. Gave him a marketing plan preview said it was good only grammar error-which marks down heavy on-feels like English class. The last draft of the paper he said I was doing one part wrong, information he did not relay in the first part in preview paper. I would never take him again.

His classes are as boring as it gets, but still very easy. During most of his lectures I surfed the web and still got at least BC in all of his classes. One thing I don't like about his grading is the fact that he reduces grades bases on # of grammatical errors. HELLO this isn't English class.

The class is basically how to use MS Office. He goes through the sections, usually in half of the class period, and then you do the assessments during the other periods. He does get annoyed if you do part of the assessment wrong, but as long as you pay attention and/or know the stuff, you'll do fine. Oh, and he talks very quietly. Easy A though.

He is extremely smart and truly cares about students. He expects and demands excellence which is something we should all strive for. You will feel you accomplished something after one of his classes. People need to get past his first impression because he really cares for students and is willing to do a lot to help anyone out.

There is a lot of work, but he is really smart and you can learn alot from him. Some people are really immature to call him names, when that really has no effect on his teacher. He is hard to approach when you need him, but once you do you will be better off and he is really nice.

I disagree with many reviews on here. Tietyen is very smart and lectures are very interesting. Has owned serveral businesses and can relate well to material. Yes, a lot of assignments and papers, but as long as you keep up you'll do great. Open book/note/laptop tests! Write your papers well and site EVERYTHING and you'll do good.

I liked this class, but there are a lot of papers to write. He will take off for making mistakes on the MSOE style guide. Make sure that you know how to properly footnote your material. Good solid Professor and course.

one of the best professors on campus. You'll get more out of this man then anybody else in the business building. and if you dont know what the MSOE Style Guide is, you will by the end of a class with him.
