nice and funny professor; always has funny stories during his lectures. only allowed to miss 4 days so attendance is mandatory, or else i probably wouldn't have gone as much. read the chapters and study the outlines in the back of the book. final exam is mandatory, no matter what. i ended up with an A!

Urban does not curve because he gives tons of Extra Credit. Sure marketing is a required business course so your interest might not be in it but the Class is an easy A if you read the chapters, do the extra credit, and use the online practice exams. this is one boring class, he made it so boring so sleepy. I go to class because he take attendants, only allow to miss 1 day. so....i dont know what's up with other raters'minds, I'm an accounting major, to me this subject is already boring, and again he made me hate marketing.

Stay Away! seriously, even you read the book like crazy, and do the online practice tests that wouldn't help much on the tests, his tests are ridiculus hard! I did the online pracitces tests, got Bs on them thought the test gonna be a breeze like that, but hell no... won't curve even you are on the borderline.

Urban is one of the best professors I've ever had. He is interesting to listen to and uses examples that can be easily followed. The textbook is easy to read. He gives plenty of opportunities for students to boost their grade. I definitely recommend him.

Urban is a funny guy and he tries to make a boring subject interesting. Easy class, best textbook I've ever had. Straight to the point, short chapters cutout BS, tear out summaries at the back of chapters to review. He uses the book, sometimes does participation exercises in class, so go most of the time. Easiest class ever, and I'm a slacker!

Dr Urban is a marketing genious. He knows his stuff. Definitely make sure to do the extra credit posts, he has a policy about not missing more than 3 days (but his lectures are really interesting), and tests... which I would not just call easy (you can not just memorize things, you have to understand the concepts). I'd take it again with Urban.

I got an A in this class, and it's not that I mind doing work, it's just that I actually wanted to LEARN something, and I don't think I really did. Prof. Urban also goes off on these long winded tangents about various "high-end jewelers" that he knows...just wait he will.
