Seems like a nice enough guy, but is kind of rude and seems tired of teaching college students. I didn't like him because when I met with the associate dean that semester about something else, even he said this class had more complaints than any other. VERY tough grader for tests, ambiguous questions that could go 2 ways, we called him out on many

Just Show up to class and listen to the lectures and you should pass. He does random attendance checks mainly the last week of class. Do the extra credit and you should be fine. His tests are on stuff from the lecture nothing from the book.

PRT 1010 with David Vaught is an easy A if you are willing to show up to class. He is not super clear with what is going to be on his tests, but with regular attendance, I never got lower than a B. He offers plenty of extra credit, especially for attendance. Overall, show up, listen, and an A is in your future. P.s. recreation is a diversion.

Vaught is a very smart professor who is very passionate about the material he teaches. His exam questions are straight from what he discusses in lectures. The key is to take good notes during class. He records all lectures and posts them online which is great if you miss a lecture. Take advantage of the easy quizzes and extra credit!

Like everyone said below, go to class, and lots of extra Credit. Test are kind of hard but it's word for word what he says in class. Quizzes are super easy. I'm studying abroad with him so he can't be that bad! Class seemed to fly by most days. I wouldn't buy the text book. you only need it for the quizzes, so just ask someone if you can borrow theirs.

This class is very interesting and he keeps u engaged. The tests are pretty hard but he offers over 70 extra credit points, and chances to earn more than that! I got an A+ in the class and if you go to class, pay attention, and get a C on the tests, YOU WILL TOO!!! the extra credit is all participation and is easy to get,

Not a bad class by far, I took it for an easy A, but going to class is a must -EVERYTHING on test is "as we discussed in class.." mult. choice on test is catogories from notes (not easy) but he gives a TON of extra credit points for attendance and completing quizes

He is a really good speaker, but not that good of a professor. Yes, he knows his stuff but he often goes off subject and then can't remember what he wrote on the board, or what he taught from one class to another. He learns names pretty quickly so you can't really get away with not attending class.

I took this class twice so I know what I'm talking about. The only reason you need to go to this class if for the random attendance. Once you get at least 5, you really don't need to be there. I got a D the first time because of it. Also, David has a wide assortment of sweater vests. Keep it up!
