Take this course pass/fail. I kid you not. It will make your life so much easier. Dr. Weber is very abstract and difficult to follow. He expects his students to be able to think in abstract and complex ways as well. Be ready to discuss very abstract and uncomfortable topics.

By far one of the most interesting and though provoking instructors I have ever had. You must put in some time, but with some of the topics he teaches, its really easy to become passionate about them.

You're expected to read the books he assigns. Just do it. They're easy reads. Participating in class is important. He will roast you, but it will be fun and makes the class fun. Don't miss class because he takes your notes at the end and grades them. If stuff is missing, you don't do well.

I would never talk his class again, he's the worst professor I've had to experience with.

He's a great guy and extremely intelligent. He definitely knows what he's talking about. He warns you that you need to pay attention and take notes in the class. If you don't, you will fail. His tests are only difficult if you don't do the work. His class was one of the best I've ever taken. I learned so much from him. Highly recommended

Am in his C.S. lewis class now and it is a very enjoyable class. He pushes you and gets you if you don't read which is what I needed to get the most out of the class. He is very jumpy in class but that is mostly because students haven't been willing to lead the discussion. I still have really enjoyed it. Also, it's C.S. Lewis so that helps.

Weber is a great guy, and a brilliant man. A lot of people think that he's confusing, but if you pay attention in class and do the readings you'll get it. He expects his students to actually do the work--which isn't a bad thing. He REALLY knows his stuff. Sometimes he's a bit scatterbrained, but I have learned so much in all 4 classes I've taken.

This class is way more difficult than it needs to be. he talks in circles and unclear. I do not leave class knowing what it is I should have taken from the reading. Sarcastic. Too harsh on feedback on poorly taken exam, was not helpful to me. I do not recommend his class. Save yourself a headache.

Great guy. He wants you to look deep into the material.. but it is college so that would make sense. Its really not hard to get an A, listen and pay attention because that will help you, and participate. You'll enjoy him if you take his class, I would really like to take another one of his.

Funny guy. Gets off on tangents a lot, but they are hilarious. The material is a little rough to understand, but he does an alright job of explaining it. He ruined the Chronicles of Narnia by telling us the real story, unfortunately. But, overall, a good class, but you have to work for your grades. Very few tests and assignments.

If you like philosophy take this class. He makes you think really hard and look deep into readings. There isn't much homework and very little writing for his class. So if you want an easy C, take this class. If you want an A, I would take someone else. It can be hard to understand the point he is trying to make.

Great guy who knows his stuff, but his purely discussion-based teaching style isn't always the best preparation for quizes and exams.

Has a pretty narrow interpretation of how readings and discussions should be presented, but quite helpful, and has the best food of any professor. Try to get him to have the class over for dinner. He has two deep friers!

I took this man's class his first semester at Valpo. I was every student's favorite student because I had no fear in asking him questions when I didn't understand... which was every day. Just ask questions and you'll be fine. Oh, and if it's still a class and he still leads it, take the Church Vocations Symposium, best dinners you'll ever eat.
