I received As and Bs on my papers. She is clear & you must FOLLOW the rubric. She does expect a lot out of students but that's the way college is. You must give effort and visit writing tutors. She isn't the one to breeze through. DON'T take Schmitt if you don't care to improve your writing. She's trying to prepare people for comp 102.

Her class is one of the easiest; the only thing I dislike about this class was she expects too much and for the papers, she expects it to be very specific, not broad or general.

It's her way or the highway. She does not bend rules for any sort of reasons. You have to be on time to join the class if you are 1 minute late you cannot join. If you want to learn nothing and get poorly graded papers I approve you taking this "teacher". She is not worth your time and she is a joke. she picks the topics for your paper also. GL.

She is truly a tough grader, she expects way too much out of you. When you ask for help, she just clarifies briefly over the assignment again. Even if you go to a professional for help on the paper, you can get a bad grade.

She is a very tough grader. If you come to class on a regular basis, and listen to what she tells you, you will do just fine. If you plan to skip classes, or come late, you will have issues. I was a terrible writer, but after her classes, i feel i am much better. She was understanding when my car broke down, but i was there all other time

She knows what she is talking about so pay attention! She is also a tough grader! If you take your time working on a paper and pay attention to detail you will receive a good grade in class. She is a very good helper. I was personally a bad writer when I came into her class. I consider myself somewhat good now after taking her!

Not good. No excused absences. If you have an emergency surgery 4 hours before class, don't expect her to let you make up the quiz (I speak from experience). I did get an A. However, the class is a lot of work.

She is very strict but fair to the most part. If you want to learn a lot and work hard on your writing, then take this class. If you want just an easy grade just to pass, then i would not take this class. she is a very tough grader too. Overall, she is a nice person and easy to get along with if you are NEVER (i mean ever!) late for class.

Jeanne Schmitt is a phenomenal professor; if you show up on time, take time on your assignments, and you will get a really good grade. Works with you, she's clear and is nice about questions or if you answer wrong. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

She is a very helpful teacher, had her both for 101 and 090, she is very helpful, and her quizzes and tests are not that hard, even when she says they are challenging. She is a hard grader, but she wants you to excel in English and your writing. I recommend her if you want to become a good writer and have a little bit of a challenge.

She does not clarify majority of the assignments she assigns. She's strict about grading and not very helpful. You're more on your own and she expects to know many things on top of your head. There are students she chooses to favorite. She attempts of inappropriate jokes to multi-cultural students because English is the students' second language.

Very nice and good teacher but a very hard grader. if you are not good at english she will help you get better she really does care! if you have problems dont be afriad to ask for help she is very helpful. dont ever skip class she takes attendance everyday and does not allow make-up work.
