Comment:

I have taken David for two classes now& would take him again. The beginning of class can be sort of repetitive as he goes over the homework that is due Sunday every class. The lectures themselves are good, though, & not terribly boring (there are, of course, days, but overall...) The weekly homework is light, the quizzes are often, & both are easy.

This class can get very boring. Most people in his class already know about this stuff. His lectures can be long, and some videos are pointless. It isn't very hard though, just read the instructions for weekly assignments and actually do them.

David is one of the Radest teachers I have ever had. He has a lot of patience, a sense of humor, and just a all around good dude. His inclass tests are very straight forward, and he goes over every assignment well. Ultra quick grader, I knew what my final grade was in 2 hrs, after taking final.

You MUST pay attention in class, specially to details you think its meaningless, chances are it will be on the exam. You will watch a bunch of videos in class, most of them will be boring, take notes nonetheless. There will be homework every week always due on Sundays at 8pm. Be careful he IS a tough grader. Good luck lol you will need it.

I had him for a few classes and passed all of them. I however didn't learn anything about recording is sound recording. I had to do the same assignments in multiple different classes, and felt i missed out on alot of important information. He is really nice, but doesn't go all out teaching you everything. Hes easy to pass, but you dont learn much.

Not an easy class. Lots of homework. Online quizzes are timed very poorly. You need to attend to pass. Homework and quizzes due Sunday nights at 8pm, not midnight. Makes it extremely hard for those who work. He does not care what students suggest when it comes to changing that. Assumes that you know everything about the topic prior to the semester.

This was a fun class. You will look at television in a different way. You basically watch films everyday. Homework were easy. Exams were kind of hard. Show up, take notes, and do your homework and you will pass. Great and nice professor.

Attending class on a regular basis was a must, random participationattendance 1-point assignments were handed out. Most sessions were 50% lecture and 50% Garage Band. We did some online posting assignments which were always due at 8PM on Sunday, if you miss ANY it WILL hurt your grade. David was a nice guy, lectures were ok and the class was fun.

Took this for a 3 week winter session class. He is very interesting and engages the class. Graded things really fast. His tests are based off lecture so you have to be there. Does a lot of participation points every day. Grades very harshly on papers.

Welton is a wonderful professor. Very professional and clear in his expectations. He is an incredibly nice guy and really seems to care about what his students think and want out of his classes. I would highly suggest him for any of his classes, I have taken two of his courses myself.

Best teacher I've had at Butte! Class is outlined well, you know exactly what you have to do to get an A. He's awesome, reminds me of a nice dad. Definitely take this class!

David is a very nice and caring guy. His class is fun and easy. You really just watch TV, and write a couple papers about TV shows of your choice. You can even suggest shows to watch, do it early in the semester though so he can plan it. As long as you go to class and do the work, you'll get an A.

He is a very nice person. I have taken both classes he teaches, and he is one of the best teachers I've had at Butte. If you attend class and do the work, you will pass no problem. Be sure to take notes! If you don't you will have a tough time with the analysis papers. He is very accommodating and offers extra credit.

Easy teacher, do the assignments and you'll get a good grade. Textbook is online. Wish he used pro tools or logic for this class instead of garage band though as either one of those is more of a real world studio application. Be warned he likes to talk about mics alot we spent several weeks on it.
