Wick is great! He is hilarious and extremely knowledgeable. I thoroughly enjoyed his class and will definitely take more with him in the future. His lecturing style may seem out of order and confusing at first, but you'll find he always ends up where the class needs to be.

Wick is the best. I took several classes as well as went to on the Greece trip that he heads every 2 years. It was incredible to go to a historical site and have him tell you everything about it. Then when you look back behind you, there are 5 people following who aren't part of the class but thought he was a tour guide because of his knowledge.

Wick is SO boring. His class is pure hell. He speaks in a monotone and is always chuckling in an annoying manner. His assignments are extremely vague and confusing, as are his expectations. Do not take this prof.

I have a very hard time in Wick's class. He's a brilliant man and he's very nice but I just find his teaching style to be boring and I can never follow what he's saying. I often get very confused in his class and I find it impossible to take notes.

Dr. Wick is a great guy, but you kind of get the feeling that he's not all with it today wise. He pretty much lives through history and tells the stories as if he is remanising about those good old times. That said, you better be a good note taker because all he does is lecture and make you read original source materials and the book he co-wrote.

Knows his stuff, and is very good at seperating myth from truth (not something you see at many secular colleges, sadly). He probably has the driest humor I have ever heard. Assigns lots of work, and is probably kind of boring if you're not a history major. But I am, so I like him!

dp is a strange character, but he's great. he's a little socially akward though. if you go w/him to greece for HI291, don't get him and his wife talking about sex (or if you hear them start to talk, run) - you'll regret ever hearing about it!)

Dipwick pisses me off to no end. His Western Civ class didn't teach me anything I didn't learn in high school. I skipped that class 18 times (literally) and still got an A in it. Absolutely ridiculous.
