Brilliant Professor! Her class teaches you Psychology from a standpoint of introspection, which results in deeply learned lessons. We wrote papers that analyzed the concepts we learned in class against a novel we were reading concurrently, against ourselves. It was a fascinating way to analyze concepts and ended up helping us to remember.

Class requires a LOT of introspection, soul-searching, navel-gazing... whatever you want to call it & WILL challenge what you THINK you believe!!! Miller is always engaging, frighteningly intelligent and, under the kind of gruff exterior, REALLY cares about her students. Really dedicated to providing a great experience. You'll work, it's worth it!

NOT an easy professor, by any means - however, you WILL come away from her classes challenged & having actually LEARNED something. Prof. Miller is engaging and truly gives a damn about her students knowledge AND well-being. A's are possible, but you'll work for them. I highly recommend Professor Miller!

A remarkable teacher who has a lot to offer when it comes to knowledge and experience. She is very helpful, thoughtful, warm and has the interests of the students at heart. Awesome Professor. Expects a lot out of you (a pet peeve of hers is not doing the reading of assigned chapters) but she wants everyone to succeed. She's an interesting speaker, loves discussion, gets you to see the world from a different perspective and takes an interest in her students. One of the best teacher's I've had!

Not only is Naomi a brilliant professor, she has also participated in a few famous studies in her field. Although Naomi is a difficult teacher, she is always willing to give a student a second chance (Sometimes this is frustrating to see when you've busted your butt all semester). What you know in the end is most important to Miller.

Naomi was an excellent teacher and while I did not agree with all of her standpoints I did respect her. Being a practicing Catholic it was hard to embrace some of what she was teaching but I will say that she reinforced the important fact that we all must learn to tolerate, respect and listen to each other. Thank you Naomi! You rock!

Naomi effectively changed my life. I was a White Nationalist wearing a swastika when I entered her class...and after our first discussion on race, I drove home weeping. Seriously. I think I'll remember her forever, even if the class was hard...and it was...but it was the first class that I was dedicated to.

There are two grades for her Perspectives class - the mid term and final. (Both are take home papers) There is A LOT of reading. The mid term and final papers are extremely time consuming amd must be PERFECT to receive an A. She is a very tough grader. If you are going to take her, make sure you are up for the task.
