Every class is just a lecture with a powerpoint. He's extremely nice and means well but his class will put you to sleep. Quizzes are hard because he doesn't cover that material much. Lots of short papers and small homework assignments. No tests.

David's lectures were like listening to a TED talk on the color beige. I sincerely feel bad for this man, because I don't think he's felt joy since 1974. Lectures are dry and have nothing to do with the quizzes. He teaches at about a third grade level. I basically used his class as a study hall. Easy A, though.

this is the WORST class i have ever taken. do not take this class with wright. he is so boring that no matter how many times i came to class with intention of listening, i just couldn't do it. his quizzes have nothing to do with anything and you can't argue for your answers. my final is tomorrow and he didn't say anything about the final.

Just a boring professor. Lectures are mindnumbingly boring and the course material was all taught in high school. He is very nice but you will be sitting through your lectures almost passing out because of his monotone voice. Quizzes are hard compared to lecture. I would not recommend this course or professor.

He was a very nice man, but his class was god awfully boring- I spent most of it on tumblr. His lectures have nothing to do with the quizzes, but some of them are either common sense or word for word on the internet... ssssh I got an A... but it had nothing to do with his teaching.

This is the worst class I have ever taken, and it was taught by the worst professor. DO NOT TAKE CLASS FROM HIM. Boring, unhelpful, scattered, and monotonous. And the quizzes are completely unrelated to anything he ever lectures about.

He is LITERALLY the worst professor I have ever had. He has a superiority complex over his students and tells you to read chapters that are not even relevant to the quiz. ANYONE would be better than him. He only has quizzes in class but they are tests because there are not other grades, and the quizzes are short answer and hard.

He was by far the most disorganized professor I've EVER had. Keeps everything in a big pile of papers and loses homeworks. Doesn't use blackboard. Doesn't answer emails, even when urgent. Lectures are boring and nothing in them is on the quizzes. Doesn't prepare well for the final at all. He essentially tells you he doesn't grade your homework.

Professor is dull, monotone and should quit teaching. Or be fired. Ignorant, doesn't reach the interest of anybody in the room. Quizzes could be over 20 minutes from a lecture 2 weeks ago. Worst professor I've ever had and doesn't share any of the qualities shown from the overall staff at st. eds.

I have Dr. Wright for Astronomy now, and he is by far the worst professor I have ever had. The quizzes are extremely difficult. He doesn't use Blackboard. He doesn't send out emails or remind us of assignments/quizzes. He will quiz us over a chapter that he lectured 3 weeks earlier, and he doesn't review any of the material. Avoid at all costs!

Comment:
Lectures are boring, he pretty much just replicates the book into slides and presents them. However, he will go into depth on difficult concepts. There are only homeworks and quizzes and the final was a bit difficult. Attendance was taken every class and a long Chapter reading was usually assigned once a week. It is do-able

He's a nice guy, but a truly terrible prof. Made a subject I truly enjoy the bane of my life for the semester. Doesn't use blackboard so you have NO IDEA what your grade is at any time, and has the world's most confusing grade scheme. Lectures are a clinic in how to ruin a great topic. Avoid a class by Wright at all costs!

The professor is monotone, dull and lectures in tangents and many confusing examples. He is the worst prof I have had. I am making a C and I have a 3.9 GPA. The prof is ignorant and should be fired. I tired every way to be nice and go to office hours but he will not budge. He is stubborn and talks in circular manner so you are always wrong.

I had Dr. Wright for Astronomy a few semesters ago and I have to say he has improved dramatically. I don't know if it's because he is more familiar with the course, but his lectures are a lot more interesting now. I must say though he still does keep you a few minutes after class is over.

Overall nice guy but not very helpful. Dr. Wright is knowledgeable even though his teaching is sub-par. Classes were tedious, regurgitating info from the textbook. I love astronomy but ASTR 1311 is a major disappointment due to Wright. The most negative aspect is that he doesn't respond to emails under most circumstances. so aggravating :(

I loved Astronomy before taking his class. He made such a potentially interesting class so incredibly boring. Laws of motion? Really? He is a nice guy but SO bland and doesn't give enough grade opportunities. I had to drop towards the end of the semester because we only had ONE quiz so far, and mine was a C, so that was going to be my grade.

Lacks ability to establish a decent connection with his audience during his lectures. Terribly boring and his ability to communicate effectively is poor at best. Quizzes aren't terribly difficult and homework is limited. Always goes five minutes over and if you leave early or come in late he will mark you absent. Find someone else if you can.

I HATE this class. With a burning passion. Which is sad because I love science. He always keeps us 5 minutes over class, he is utterly boring and I'm not sure I'll make it through the semester without a mental breakdown in this class room. 4 weeks on the Scientific Method? Um... Yeah- I learned that in the 6th grade.
