Luci is the cutest lady ever. Her english is not very good so she has issues communicating at times. Has a lot of insight into the history and culture associated with the language. Her class is rather disorganized with assignments often very unclear, however I enjoyed attending. Take her!!

I love Luci! She is always fun and makes class interesting. She is very willing to answer questions and really wants you to learn Portuguese. I came in with know prior knowledge and was fine. I recommend this class!

She is so easy and really nice. There is no way you should make anything less than an A in this class. Don't pay attention to the comments against her. I honestly have no idea how anyone with half a brain could possibly do poorly in her class.

This is an easy, fun class. It never fails to shock me how stupid students are. Come to class (on time), watch the films with an open mind & write about imagery and greater meanings in the films in an informal handwritten response. The students that don't do well in this class bring it on themselves. The only hard things are the two book quizzes.

I must say that i went to very liberal schools growing up and was encouraged to say what i thought. do not do this in her class. she told me to withdraw from the class after 3 weeks and maybe 5% of the work handed in. she is a total c word if she does not like you. so say what you think she wants to hear and you should do well

You really must be interested in this class in order to do well. Luci is a very good professor if you want to learn about Latin America, but the lectures are somewhat boring. You do better on the tests if you do the required reading. Her tests are pretty tough, but I learned a lot. She is always willing to help outside of class.

Easy class and you get to watch movies every day , but you do have to write 3 papers that are about 3-5 pages long which are based on long books you are supposed to read. Never read the books but still got a B in the class. Nice teacher.

really nice lady, but class is hard unless you have prior knowledge of portuguese, meaning you speak it or speak spanish. if you do not...then its not an easy class because she assumes that since those people understand that everyone does. super nice lady, really cool about homework but the tests are always made up of mostly what was barely covered

Luci Is wonderful. She gets to know her students on a personal basis, especially in the small Portuguese classes. Brazilian Lit (LTPO 250) was a fun class, and an easy one. If you do all the write-ups, and participte in the dicusions, it is not hard to get an A. There are two papers also.

Luci is the best! Take portuguese! I've had her for 3 semesters of portuguese and she is pretty easy for it being a foreign language. She just wants you to show up for class, talk occasionally and turn in homework. Tests are easy to get good grades on. Take portuguese instead of spanish!!!

How can you not love this woman. I had her for 101 too. She is so sweet, and it is easy to make a good grade. Just turn in your homework. Test are easy and Spanish is a poor subject for me. Love ya Luci!
