Comment:

Dr. Curry clearly knows her stuff on Biology, but overall, she was not my favorite professor. Sweet lady, but her lectures are no walk in the park. Her notes are very confusing and she rarely stops to see if her students really understand the material. That was the impression I got. However, if you go to her office hours, you'll be fine.

Dr. Curry's class is based off of outlines she discusses in class, so if you pay attention and take good notes, the book is not necessary. There are lots of quizzes and tests. The tests are hard, so study. She's a very sweet lady and is willing to help at any and all costs!

Comment:

She gives lecture notes for every single class, and they help out a LOT. Make sure you either print them or bring your computer, but honestly a computer is better because she talks very fast at times! Great professor, gives clear feedback and genuinely wants you to do well. I recommend this course and this professor.

She is a very nice lady and clearly knows her stuff. However, if you want to make a good grade you need to study a lot. She is very specific on certain questions on her tests. But, you can ask her to rephrase them while taking the test. Also, I only used the textbook to look at the diagrams which you could easily find online.

You think her class is easy until you get your grade back from the 1st Exam. Her class is very tough and I would avoid it like the plague. A lot of her exam questions weren't from anything you read or studied. I had to S/U. I would try taking someone else if possible. If you have to take her it isn't the end of the world but be prepared.

Comment:

Curry is a good teacher. Her lectures are clear and she tells you exactly what she expects out of you. Some of the material is difficult, but she will help you if you ask for it. She tries a little too hard to be funny, but just smile and she'll leave you alone. Textbook is used a little but what is used is important. Tests not too hard. Good luck!

Gives easy matching quizzes, two essays (one is a group paper), four tests, and the final. Work was very easy. Very clear explanations in teaching. If you have a question, she gladly answers them. All quizzes have 5 extra credit points. One paper has 4 extra credit points. One test had 8 extra credit points.

Dr. Curry is an amazing professor she is always there to help you and she goes further into the course material than any other Biology Professors. Her two papers are very important and make sure to do them well, She is also very strict about grammar issues in these papers, so go to the Writing Center for help. But she is an amazing professor.

Curry was amazing! I normally hate Biology and Science but she made it fun and relatable. The lectures are clearly laid out online and she was always happy to answer questions. All of the information on her tests could be found in the notes or book. She always gave a review time before tests as well.

She is super boring and talks the whole class. There is no class interaction and if you talk she will yell at you. The tests are crazy hard even if you study the notes. Don't plan on memorizing terms you need to understand every little detail to it. She may know a lot but she is not a great teacher. We pay way too much money for her to just talk!

Mrs. Curry is really nice and is obviously interested in the subject. However, her tests are quite hard unless you put in the large amount of reading time and studying that is required to do well unless you are good at biology. As a full time student I do not have the time to read or study that much for one class.

Dr. Curry is very nice and helpful. She provides outlines for notes -- use them! They make note taking and studying much easier. Do study for her class, but don't worry too much about tests... the questions are straight forward, and you can ask her to rephrase questions if you get confused. Easy A if you put forth some effort.

Dr. Curry loves what she does, and hence she teaches it will. She breaks everything down and allows for quetions. Very organized. Test are straight forward and she gives 2 papers to help your final average. Excellent.

She knew so much about the content. you could tell she was passionate about biology. the class was never boring. she always gave her students encouragement. there are four quizzes and the tests are not that bad at all. she covered so much content that the final felt like it was a breeze.

By being in her class I can tell that she really knows her stuff. You have to have the book to read some selections but mostly it is used as a reference guide and does not really help follow along with her lectures.
