She does not take time to explain the assignment, and she assigns concert reviews that you have to pay to go to. really weird also. went into this class thinking it would be easy. This class is the worst class i have ever taken

She is a fine teacher and as long as you show up to class, participate and do all of the assignments you'll be fine. However, she assigns a lot of homework, requires you to go to 5 concerts and sometimes she sets you up for failure by giving you false instructions for the assignments and concerts. When you confront her with this, she denies it.

Would not recommend this class unless you are a fan of classical music. Deb is a character. Strict phone policy. There are about 6 required concerts that you have to pay $5-$10 out of pocket for. Proficiency grading style is nice. If you show up to every class it's going to be hard to get lower than a B.

This class was so boring. You show up and she plays music and talks about it for 2 whole hours. Mandatory attendance to 6 concerts and she takes attendance in class. Overall, she's a great person, a little bonkers. Easy class as long as you do everything expected. And if you don't, as long as you make up for it in concert attendance, you're golden.

Dakin was a hoot! Such an easy grade with no musical background necessary. I highly recommend her for your art of listening gen-ed requirement!
