I took her class last fall. She ended our class atleast 30 minutes early everyday, and completely cancelled it atleast 3 times. She is on her phone a lot and really lets the class guide the class. She was a unique person and tough grader on essays but I would take her class again.

Ms. Ferrell was a good enough instructor I intentionally took another course she taught. She is personable and wants for students to do well and understand writing and literature. She says she is a hard grader, but she seemed fair.

I loved Dr. Ferrell! She was hilarious and told the class a lot of crazy and funny stories. She gave me a lot of compliments on my writing and really boosted my confidence.

I took English 101 with professor Ferrell and I wasn't a fan of her at all. First off I have a learning disability so I get very nervous to read in front of others and she knew that and she would still call on me even though she knew I struggled a lot with reading. She has no respect for anyone who struggles with school. She made class miserable.

Comment:

Professor Ferrell is a good professor. However, the course is completely difficult to understand and the assignments are not in any chronological order. I had a meltdown about 2/3 way through the semester and realized the most effective way to take the course is to go through the schedule and write down everything by assignment name and due date.

Professor Ferrell is a good teacher, for the most part. She will help you out if you need it, and if you put effort in the class she's not going to ignore you. We were allowed 3 free absences. Professor Ferrell will expect you to work hard and be respectful. She connects well with students and needs you to participate.

The syllabus/course organization were nearly impossible to understand. Some due dates were left from the previous semesters, and the assignments did not go in chronological order. I didn't feel there was any real instruction, and the critiques were more negative than constructive. I don't know if I actually learned anything.

Tough grader, assigns big papers and can be vague. However, her stories are hilarious and her southern drawl makes just about everything she says entertaining. Very excitable and kind if you are an attentive and diligent student. Expect to work for your grade and expect to push your writing skills farther than you ever have before.

If you do your work and hand it in on time you will be fine. If she sees your putting in effort you will have no problems with her class. Only thing I did not like with her online class was the course outline/syllabus was very confusing and hard to follow. Some assignments were very vague. She always gets back to me within 24 hours when I need help

Great professor. She scheduled class time to work on our essays, which was very helpful for me. I never tried to email her, but she does text! On one of my essays, I hit a dead end and needed to change my topic. I sat down with her in class and she helped me choose a new one. She also extended the deadline. I thought she was very understanding.

I was looking forward to this class. However, the professor was scarcely around. I didn't receive one grade up to the mid-term. I had know idea how I was doing in class. No feedback. Nothing. Email response is far and few between if at all. By far the worst online course I have ever taken...

By far the worst professor I have ever had. She did not get back to a single e-mail, was not helpful, and was very unfair in her grading. No feedback, gave a grade of 85 on a paper for mechanicall errors, meaning I overused or underused commas between 2 and 3 times. Makes no sense. Should be fired. Obviously didn't read entirety of paper.
