I involuntarily fall asleep every time I go to this class. She assigns readings but then all she does in class is reread the things she assigns. She is monotonous. I feel like I'm not learning but about the literature, only about the plots. I wish we would have more discussions.

I took her for French 101 and was 2 chapters behind for French 102. Easy enough class but didn't prepare me for the next level. Don't recommend for anyone who will need to continue on at all! She missed lots of classes, spent weeks just watching movies, and was really inaccessible outside of class. This is really messing with me in French 2.

Nice person, but I did't learn anything. She's super vague with her expectations and directions. I would have done poorly in this class if I didn't have any background in French. Sometimes the syllabus helps, but other than that you're on your own.

This class was easy for me because I had already taken French 1 and 2 in high school. However I would not recommend her if you're brand new to the language. I found she doesn't clearly explain a lot of stuff, which leaves students with questions and bad test scores. Is a very nice lady but can be boring.

Very nice and helpful. Truly learned a lot in this class. Will need book for some assignments. Go to class. She takes attendance. Get the audio and do the workbook and tests will be a breeze. She never remembered my name until the end and lost some of my assignments though. Take her class. It's fun and easy.

Horrible teacher, if you want to learn a language do NOT sign up for a class with her, she is terrible, the semester is just ending now and I have not obtained any French, I would have been better off using the Rosetta Stone. She doesn't let you take tests in class, you use recordings in the lang lab, she doesn't speak clearly either,

Her french is AMAZING! It's very clear. She is very nice and very forgiving about late assignments. She has helpful explanations on the grammar and anything you need help with. If you have the book and show up to class, you can't fail.

I asked to do a directed study with her, and she obliged without hesitation. We went at my own pace, and was forgiving if I forgot or didn't do my practice problem homework (we'd just do them together, which was much more helpful). Can't wait to take her for 3 more semesters.

Oh my goodness...she IS SO BORING!!! Yes, she is a great French speaker however, shes too hung up on her pronunciation and cannot engage her students. Did I mention she religiously uses the projector? Even though she cant understand how to use it.

She gives you a lot of opportunities to get a good grade. Online labs and conversation groups required. Doing the activities in the book helps but as long as you do the work asked and participate it's hard to fail. She's a reasonably nice and laid back person.

Pros= Is very forgiving with late assignments. Gives lots of extra credit on quizzes and scales them. Lets us watch movies and doesn't speak too much french, so you understand directions. ///Cons=The class always scores poorly on quizzes/tests. Is kind of boring and has no energy. Gets annoyed by questions. Doen't evoke interest in France.

Great Professor! Her lectures can be boring, but as long as you take notes you will pass with flying colors. The books we were supposed to read were on reserve so we didn't have to buy any, but she goes over every book AND we watched all of the movies. Plus, she gives you all of the possible essay qs and lets you use notes on the tests!

The class is French Lit in Translation. No book but she puts books on reserve to get. Only two tests and some easy one page papers, and a presentation. Go to class and just write what she says. She loves wikipedia so you don't even have to read the books half the time if you search it. Always let us out early too

Professor Lee is AWESOME. She is funny, intelligent, and, most importantly, KIND and FAIR towards her students. Unlike most Professors, she treats students like adults, choosing to trust us rather than to attempt to exert control over us. I am looking forward to another semester with her.
