Professor Lipstadt is incredible. She was intimidating at first, especially for a Gentile, but I ended up really enjoying her class, and she cares about her students. She and her TAs grade pretty harshly, and I felt like I was expected to write like a English graduate student, but their feedback helped me become a better writer.

Dr. Lipstadt is an amazing professor. She knows her stuff and has a way of captivating her entire class. She is a no-nonsense professor who doesn't really care when the students suck up to her as long as you do your reading and pay attention in class. Definitely hard, but also very doable if you put effort into it.

She's extremely respected but just grades difficulty because she feels like the class doesn't do the absurd reading load. She has her awesome moments but the lectures are kind of all over the place. I'd take that class again because it's worth taking because of who she is but it was a little disappointing given the hype.

An excellent professor and a great person in general. She seemed a little intimidating at first, but she's very willing to answer any questions as long as you put in effort. There is a LOT of reading and her TA's can be tough graders but she is a wonderful lecturer, and the amount you can learn from her is well worth it. Would take again.

Professor Lipstadt is an amazing woman with a really interesting background. She has so many insights to offer her class and she's really witty. Although her assignments didn't come with a rubric and were sometimes confusing, the books she assigns are very meaningful. Her TA grades the papers and they're doable but toughly graded at times.

WOW! I think every student should be required to take Dr. Lipstadt's History of the Holocaust class. She is beyond wonderful and is extremely knowledgable and funny. She knows everyone in the historical community and is always telling anecdotes about the interesting people she has worked with throughout her career. A must take course for any major!

Took her Films of the Holocaust class. The class itself was a lot of fun, interesting and not too much work. I wouldn't label the class as easy, but I would say you can do well if you put in the effort. That being said, make sure you don't look at your phone/computer during class.

Can we say "prima donna?" Learned the most from the TAs and you can't get in touch with her. Pretty much useless. Interesting class, though, if you really like being depressed.

Lipstadt relies a lot on her TAs and not very accessible outside of class. If you really want to understand Nazi ideology you should take political ideologies with Klerh.

Professor Lipstadt's Holocaust class should be required for all Emory graduates. I learned more from this class than any other class while I was in college. There's a lot of work involved in doing well in the class, but what you learn is well worth the time spent learning it. I highly recommend this class and Professor Lipstadt.

Ok, you can easily get an A without doing most of the readings. It is only hard if you do all of the readings. She is a great lecturer, take the class.

Dr. Lipstadt is an incredible professor, and I think everyone should have her at Emory. I loved her Holocaust class. She wasn't easy, but if you actually studied, it wasn't bad at all.
