Lectures are a lot of fun but difficult to follow...I often finish her classes wondering what I've learned. She is very nice and very funny, but if she doesn't like the way you write, don't get your hopes too high. If you have a choice, take Theory with Dr. Brown instead :)

Holy crap, Dr. Wills is so awesome! Hilarious, very intelligent, kind, and encouraging. She always has something good to say about your work, and accurate criticisms. Don't pass up the chance to take a course with her, she's really fun and you'll learn so much. Apply for Creative Writing in March for the following year, you will love it!

I swear, Dr Wills' lectures are performance art. Of the intellectual sort. She's incredibly passionate, clearly enthusiastic, knowledgeable and approachable. Taking notes during her lectures is like "trying to catch a waterfall in a paper cup" (quotation from another student). "School, young Simpson! There's learning afoot!"

FANTASTIC professor. So enthusiastic and really gets the message across. Encourages great discussion. Good assignments but the final was pretty brutal. She is a wonderful teacher and I definitely learned a lot, and had a great time in class. Very open to new ideas!

Without a doubt the BEST prof I've ever had--changed the way I look at lit, possibly the way I want to spend the rest of my life. She marks fairly, but is not hung up on formatting. She truely loves what she's talking about and brings that to the class.
