Like honestly, don't take him. If you need Biochemistry, either wait the year he doesn't teach it or take it off-campus. He's easily the worst professor I've ever had, and he can't get fired because he somehow got tenured. His lectures weren't even lectures; most of them he just talked about how he met biochemists at conferences.

Before I took this class I actually looked at the reviews which were mixed. I would NOT take him. The main reason I would not take this teacher again was because he doesn't really teach!! He likes the flipped classroom idea but in this case you struggle through and apply the material before he talks about it. Prepare to teach yourself everything.

Great guy, smart lad, only problem is having him as a professor. Didn't learn a single thing sitting in his class and felt like I was wasting my time. I would have preferred spending that time at the library, teaching myself everything, because that's what you'll end up doing regardless of whether you attend class (which is mandatory by the way).

cool as a person, but as a teacher I'm not so much of a fan. You literally have to teach yourself because his lectures are so broad they would not help with the test. I just went to class to read the book. If you could literally remember every word he says from lecture, you would probably end up with a "D" cuz he says a lot of unnecessary info

I have had Dr. Rohlman for biochem, advanced biochem lab, and biophysical chemistry, and I adore him. He is definatly a hard professor, but the subjects he teaches aren't exactly easy themselves, he is very personable and always willing to help. You need to read the book several times to do well in his class though.

Great guy, willing to help. Can be a somewhat difficult grader, in that he will give you 14/15 points for a great answer - so there are always those few points you won't get. Can be unclear at times, but this shouldn't be confused with covering things that won't be on a test, which is NOT a waste of time, but rather, what class is really for.
