Beware the Syllabus. Grading system does not sync up to Moodle 1000pts on Syllabus 825 on Moodle. Gives great feedback but was limited on tags thus it was not chosen. Be prepared for the triple play that is her final project. 3 assignments all due on the same day and graded harshly. Textbook is sparingly used so its best to find someone who owns 1

I do not recommend taking any of her classes. She never actually does any teaching, and gives you pointless project after project. She will take points off of everything for no reason.

For how awful an FCO class can be, do not take Dr. Vause. She isn't bad, she's a nice woman, she just doesn't do anything to make the class more bearable. The class is like clockwork, you get a project, do a draft workshop, turn the project in, get a new project. There's not substance to her class, and all in all, it's terribly boring.

A very caring person, but expects heavy effort. I found it a fair trade-off. The amount of reading and daily assignments was a little high, but thank heaven for her pre-quiz/exam study guides. You should learn a lot from her, but you better put in your fair share. She doesn't "do" much of the teaching; the material does, yet she clears it up nicely

She's a very sweet lady, kinda like an old grandmother. But her teaching style is very hard to follow and "dated." I don't recommend taking her for Rhetorical Communications, as she does very little to make the class interesting; only teaching the basic, bare-bones information.

She has pointless writing assignments due everyday that do not involve anything that we are working on in class. If you like to write A LOT take her. She does not help in anyway on getting you ready for the big research paper. TOUGH GRADER. Never taking her again.

She is a nice woman but she is an extremely tough grader. It's nearly impossible to get an A or even a B on anything. I hate english classes as it is so this class didn't make that any better. Unless you're absolutely amazing at writing papers, don't take her.

LOVE this woman! She is so incredibly helpful and such a nice lady! Her grades are hard to earn, but if you write well and ask questions, you can easily succeed. She is big on class discussion, so make sure to read and do the assignments. Absolutely love her!

Dr. Vause is very nice, and I've never been bored in her classes. However, she requires a LOT of reading, so if you don't have the time to read don't take her. She isn't an easy grader, but is more than willing to help you out. Her classes have been some of my favorites.
