Don't take course with this professor. He grades on if he likes you or not. You can receive the same grade as someone who didn't work at all just because he likes that person. You will never be aware of your grade because he doesn't post to blackboard and takes forever to return papers. He will randomly give out work and not follow the syllabus

Venkatesh is a smart guy he can be a bit "different" and is bit culturally/socially unaware especially when dealing with young people. But its clear that he has a true passion and knowledge for the subject matter maybe even bit too passionate based on his discussion length. Generaly participate and be ready for some long essays and should be fine.

Ever worst professor in the iSchool, he is weird, his lecture is so boring, I passed with B+ where I suppose to get A. He is so bad grader when it comes to grade, you can't even read his hand writing when he leaves a feedback.

Part of the course was IT Ethics, this professor failed to explain IT Ethics properly, be aware of your overall grade cause he don't post grades on BlackBoard, I don't recommend to take his section, he is so boring and arrogant

class is based on guest speakers and two assignments. One is individual and you'll fail it because he just loves to fail everyone on their individual work but thats fine and the other is a group one and you'll do good and hey you'll get an A even if you failed the first assignment.

The best professor I've had in my four years at Syracuse! He speaks at ease at the most complex technologies. He's a true genius, and a truly great professor. It's refreshing too have someone with such expertise in their field of study and able to connect with students so well. Always helpful when needed. I recommend stopping by his office hours!

Venkatesh is the man! He's very helpful and knowledgeable. He loves it if you ask questions and think creatively. When I took his class a couple years ago, he had a pet peeve of students being on their laptops unless required. If you put in the effort, he's very fair- he even wrote me a recommendation for grad school.

I had Professor Venkatesh many years ago at IST. He was a very intelligent man, who spoke and related very complex subject matter with ease, which is only possible when you are a person with a very complete understanding of technology.

This is definitely the easiest class ever. If you just approach it with an open mind, he will draw you into becoming interested in the subject. Murali is one of the smartest people I've ever met. He knows his stuff, and has had a lot of experience.
