Dee Parks is an absolutely amazing professor. It's a shame that Spring 2017 was her last semester. She cares so much about her students and their success, and also manages to keep you engaged and wanting to learn. Every professor should model their style off of her. I wish I could have another professor even half as good as Dr. Parks.

The best professor I know and one of the best people, to boot. So funny and great at explaining concepts to you. She is totally willing to let you just sit in her office and do homework and provide you with help whenever you need it.

Doctor Parks is a really nice, charming lady. Her lectures are pretty boring and sometimes difficult to understand, but she completely makes up for it in her office hours. She will go through the labs with you and help you with every question and problem. Homework is pretty easy, reading is assigned but I didn't do it, and she has guided notes.

A wonderful professor. Her lectures aren't always the clearest, but she will take the time to explain anything you might be having trouble with outside of class. She's available almost all day through office hours and email, so it's not hard to see her if you need help with a lab, etc. Lots of assignments, but they really end up helping your grade.

Dr. Parks is one of the best CS professors out there. She is very clear, which helps make complex problems a lot easier. Her tests are kind of hard, and the course gets difficult towards the end, but as long as you study, it will be easy to end the course with at least a B-.

Very little textbook use. Has large packet of worksheets that you work through during lecture. Tests are hard, but she allows the use of a cheat sheet. Gives lots of easy grades and constantly updates her online grade book. Very fun, and willing to alter assignments to fit an individuals interests. One of the best CS professors I've had.

Took Honors Film Worlds/Game Worlds. Fairly easy class. A huge game project encompassed most of the class. Dee is very sweet and helpful. She didn't facilitate much of the computer part of my class so I can't really vouch for her technical abilities, but I know that she is very approachable and will do her best to help you with anything.

Extremely easy, extremely boring lectures. Programming assignments are equivalent to copying code off of a website. The class may have been harder if the final wasn't take home, and didn't replace all your previous test grades.

Dr. Parks is boring, but super nice. If you can pay attention to her lecture she dumbs everything way down, but makes the tests insanely hard. She gives you a cheat sheet, but that doesn't really help. No study guide no curve. She doesn't force you to learn, b/c shes laid back. I will avoid her in the future.

The class still has some problems but Dee makes everything fun. While there was required reading from the textbook, we were allowed to use notes on the quizzes. Never had a reason not to go to this class. I would highly recommend that you take ANY class with Dee.

I can't imagine getting luckier with a teacher than with dr. Parks she is very helpful. some of the labs can be confusing but there is always someone there to help you. she is very caring about your grades and even sent me at e-mail at the end of the semester telling me she turned on the h/w again so i could do them and get an A for the semester.

She is one of the most helpful people on campus. It is obvious that she has a genuine desire to see her students succeed and do well in school and in life. Do yourself a favor and arrange to have her for any class that you are able to.
