She is very knowledgeable. However she seems to care more about entertaining the geriatrics that do this class for fun.(80% of the class)She also made us buy a $100 text book that I literally never opened once for the class. It was interesting but I felt like I was at art hour at Shady Pines Retirement home and I am no spring chicken.

Prof. Erickson's lectures are amazing! She's very knowledgeable & tells wonderful stories. She shows lots of movies/docus, which is great! There was a research paper and take-home exam. She's can be a bit unclear with instructions, but if you ask she'll clear it up. I barely cracked open the textbook; wish I hadn't rented it before class started!

Honestly one of my favorite classes. If you are interested in art you will love this course. Lectures are long, but very interesting. She is very clear with what will be on the tests/quizzes and as long as you study, you will do well. She is strict about attendance, talking, and leaving class early, but overall she is a great professor

She knows everything about Art History! She is a true inspiration. I loved her class and learned so much. Her story telling lectures are amazing, take notes, show up to class and make flashcards you'll pass no problem. She gives study guides and you can find all the images online. Don't get up and leave class during lecture, it's very rude.

I love Professor Erickson. My major is Art History because of her. She's a great story teller and you can tell she loves teaching Art History. I've taken Art 101 and 102 with her so far. You'll be fine if you take notes and pay attention. There's two quizzes, a midterm and a final. She gives you study guides for all of them.

Class was cool. I learned a lot. She definitely is passionate about what she teaches & wants her students to be too. Pay attention, sit close & not far back. Don't use eltronics in the class and take notes, don't get up to use the bathroom. She'll appreciate that & respect it. Memories the slides and you'll pass

Erickson reminds me of Edna Mode from The Incredibles. She is SUPER passionate about art and art history. She loves her students and wants them to pass and more importantly to be interested in art. Thing is, you have to show up and stay awake in class to pass. If you give her a chance, she can be inspirational. I did, and I don't even like art!

Erickson knows her stuff, but should be more interactive w students. Long non stop lectures (WHOLE 75 mins) & dark classrooms (almost EVERY class) can get extremely boring! Drink your energy drink before class, and be prepared to learn a bunch of B.C. dates to match up with artworks. Oh, and she wont let you go to the bathroom during class! wow!

Prof. Erickson is a horrible teacher!! I got a C on the first midterm and I got A's on the second midterm, on the research paper, and on the reflection paper. I did all the extra credit and only skipped a lecture. AND I END UP WITH A "B" IN CLASS!! I had a 4.0 gpa before; I wish I never took her class.

Professor Erickson was an absolute pleasure to learn Art from. She is passionate funny and energetic in class. I would highly recommend her to students who have art majors and who have no problem with maintaining good attendance. No textbook, Just lectures and interesting movies. She is fabulous!

It was one of the easiest classes you can get an A on. All you have to do is really focus on what she is saying and take good notes. Make sure to actually study and show up to class everyday. Her stories are also very entertaining. I try to picture her information as telling a lovely story about the painting's history.

This lady has a lot of info, but she is the worst public speaker I have ever encountered. Every other word is a stammer! You must not miss sore then 3 days or she will drop you. No need to buy the $200 book. Never referrers to it. But easy to pass.

She is VERY rude and disrespectful,she does not care if someone in your family is dying you MUST attend class. Most BORING class ever!!!if you can deal with her lectures that are totally wrong from the textbook,but don't correct her because she does not like that. Her class is pretty easy to pass because what she hands out in the handouts is EXACTLY what the quizzes/test are on. Besides that, she freaks out if you walk in 3 minutes late or use the bathroom.
