He let people switch sections of his class but then lost their tests, so more than one student in my grade received an incomplete for the class. Essentially, he calls you stupid for 2 1/2 hours. Horrible professor. I would not recommend him.

Biggie is a horrible professor. He disappeared with no explanation, and the department had to find a substitute. Biggie never returned our midterms, so we never got any grades for them. I would never take another class with him, and would greatly discourage anyone form taking any class with him.

He disappeared. After two weeks of no teacher and no warning, we needed a substitute. We of course turned in one exam, which he's kept and not given to the administration for grading purposes this year, so we were graded entirely on the last three classes of the semester. He would get into 10 minute dialogues with students, about us not being wise.

He disappeared from our class, never graded mid terms. Philosophy dept had to get another prof. to finish course. He never accounted for his absence. If he teaches again, I wouldn't trust him.

horrible professor. doesn't know anything about the real world. tells everyone who doesn't agree with him is dumb. Although he is teaching a "reason" class he is unable to reason for himself and doesn't even know how to make a logical argument. he doesn't know how to think and is completely unreasonable!! stay away!!!

Easy class, but super boring! Class discussions are uninteresting to say the least, and they are the same evry class. All you do is discuss a theory from some "genius" and then prove it wrong by the end of class. I can't believe USM isn't considering cutting Philosophy. Good lord, talk about a useless major!!!

Biggie is super nice... and if you are looking for a somewhat easy class take him. He's not picky on attendance and philosophy can be personal opinion. Nothing special about the class but it was easy with a nice teacher. stress free teacher

"If you're smart and you like philosophy you'll probably like Biggie. He has his faults but he's super sharp - I found him refreshing although the class I was in was for the most part full of dullards." Says it all. He makes you think, a good class. Not very hard. Voice your reasonable opinion, think a little bit, and you're fine.

We meet once a week for 2.5 hours, and he has skipped 4 of the 8 class meetings. His test was ridiculously short and it's the only grade we've gotten so far, except we took it 5 weeks ago and he has yet to return it, possibly becuase of the 5 weeks 2 weeks class has been cancelled. If you dont want to go to class, but need credits, take him.

I learned a lot in the intro PHI class, and enjoyed the spirited discussions as well! My mother thinks Philosophy and too much thinking can make you crazy - here's to too much thinking! :)

I was a senior when I took this class so I was understandably not excited about taking a 100 level course. He was funny and made class worth attending, so that made things better.

I really like this prof. He definitely makes you think about the issues being discussed. He's really excited about what he teaches and is always willing to discuss questions after class. His lectures are some of the most interesting I've heard.
