Amazing teacher! He doesn't put up with crap, which I find very helpful. If you show interest, he's very helpful. His lectures don't include the frills and lame jokes other professors use, just information. If you show up for class and show interest, it will be a great class! I recommend him for intellectual students.

The class was confusing and his notes were unclear and all over the place. I approached the professor because I was struggling in the class and wanted to change that. His only suggestion was to change the way I think. I hated this class and always left frustrated and confused. Had I not withdrawn my GPA would have plummeted. AVOID

He was an awful professor. His notes are all over the place and there is not a book so you have no hope of teaching yourself the material. He gets very frustrated with the class when his method of teaching is not effective. It has been the worst experience I have ever had with a professor here at Eastern. Would not recommend.

Delprato is a bad professor, he doesn't care about the student and due to his age, he may have forgotten how to teach. If you want to have a good GPA and learn about methods to writing a research paper etc (as his class claims do to) PLEASE don't take this class. Teachers like him need to be recalled and retired, his class needs to be canceled.

I would never suggest taking his class to any of my friends. He never actually addressed anything we needed to know. Also there is no book so hopefully you have a lot of paper and ink because you have to print eveything and it gets to be expensive. On his syllabus he even has how to staple, but he doesn't mark you down the first lab for it.

He is an AWFUL professor! I literally banged my head on my desk today because of how insufferable he was being. He never listens to students, never answers questions, is totally unclear about his guidelines and is unwilling to explain them in any clear way. He is so confusing and ridiculous...stay away from his class!!!!

Mr Delprato is very round about in his teaching. He will give you just enough information to guide you on your own studies. But he will not teach you anything. You will teach yourself.

Professor seems to ramble on and on about nothing pertinent to the topic. You ask him a question and then never seems to understand what you mean. His answers are always scattered, and lab reports guidelines are never clear. He doesn't even seem to care that nobody understands what he wants. He fights you until you just give up.

Waste of money & time. Lectures are long and off topic. His manual you download & print: not a big deal but several minutes of class is used trying find the pages you need because they are named wrong.Show up every single day &laugh at his dry jokes/comments, you can get a decent grade BUT EXPECT TO LEARN/RETAIN NOTHING OF THE MATERIAL.

Dr. D is the most helpful professor I have had at EMU because I am a good student who is there to learn. If you are not there to learn you should not complain. He has been very helpful to me as I am not like many other students as I actually attend class, listen attentively and pay attention. Dr. D ROCKS!

This teacher is so horrible, I dropped the class and am re-taking it, just for a different teacher. He's rude, arrogant, and OCD about everything. He'll take off 5 pts for your name being in the wrong spot. I worked my butt off and couldnt get a decent grade, and he didnt care. He rambles on and on about nothing, and doesnt care if you dont get it.

Terrible teacher. Previous comment about going on and on about things that don't matter and then spending five seconds on important points is very true. acts like hes teaching high school, no cell phones, no putting head down, yells at you if youre 5 minutes late or miss class. doesnt post powerpoints, if you miss one class you're screwed. avoid hi

Dr. Delprato is a nice guy. He is extremely passionate about the subject and enjoys teaching it. Quizzes can be difficult, especially because he rambles a bit throughout his lectures. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you want a decent grade you should go to class. No book, which is great.

He is horrible! He gives two tests a class period. You cannot make up any missed work. Even if you have a doctor's note. Don't plan on understanding anything he says. If you or anyone else in the class is having a problem with the material don't even bother asking for his help. It's your fault you can't understand the material, not his.

Dennis is quirky but extremely helpful. He is very intelligent however he does ramble. Sit in the first few rows because his voice doesn't carry well in large classrooms. His quizes are hard but as long as you pay attention you should do well. He offers extra credit.

Worst teacher ever!!! During his lectures, he rambles on and on seeming to never make a point. About a half hour into his lecture he'll start to make sense for a second then he'll get sidetracked. He is rude, insulting, and disrespectful if you ask a question. He is only sometimes clear in his expectations for assignments. Avoid him if you can!

Dr. Delprato is extremely organized and very clear about his expectations and instructions. He comes off like a mean guy sometimes (especially in the beginning) but he is terrific when you get to know him. If you put forth a fair effort in his class, you'll learn a great deal and get a good grade. He didn't make a buy a book either. Saved money.

He goes very in depth into his lectures so he's very informative. Lectures can be dry and sometimes he's not very helpful when his students approach him, but he means well and I actually am learning a lot in his class. I'd recommend him for experimental.

Dr. Delprato is a very intelligent professor, perhaps on of the few at EMU. He is very clear on what he talks about and makes the class very interesting. He goes above and beyond helping. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to take a psy class to try to be one of his students.
