In this class I did not really trust what he told us. He didn't pronounce Putin, Vietnam or Laos correctly. Nearly every class he was 10-15 minutes late then would take another 10-15 minutes setting up class and then take attendance and go over a small list. A 50 minute class was usually about 20 minutes long. I has not turned in grades after 2 wks

Professor Farnsworth is a really sweet and caring man. He has gotten older and gets distracted fairly easily. The lectures are a bit boring because he doesn't involve the class as much. If you participate in his class he seriously will love you forever! You are graded on a midterm paper, final exam(multiple choice) and attendance. Very easy A.

If you participate Chief will love you for the rest of your life. Very caring guy and cares what his students think about him. Very boring lectures that aren't super relevant. Grade is only based on attendance, a 2 page midterm essay, and a final so no homework or reading.

You are graded by two things the entire semester, you midterm which is two 2-3 pages essays, and your final which is 50 multiple choice questions. Every class period starts 20-30 minutes late. Very "old-school" teaching style, you just sit and listen to him lecture.

Definitely the easiest class I've taken at UVU. If you're just looking for the grade I highly recommend him, however if you want to learn about the subject you may want to go in another direction. We had one, five page paper, and 2 exams a midterm and final.

Professor Farnsworth is honestly a very nice guy and he really does know history. Sometimes he gets confused and goes off on tangents and his lectures are kind of hard to follow. He gives plenty of extra credit and the only assignments you have is a take home mid-term and a final exam.

We didn't receive the syllabus until after midterm. He would often show up to class 15-20 minutes late. Received three grades all semester; midterm, final, and a term paper. Would summarize a new chapter everyday in class but he was hard to follow in lectures and his handwriting on the board was not legible. One good thing: Allows a lot of EC.

If you do the work and pay some attention in class he should be a fairly easy A, but his knowledge seems a bit suspect at times. He mixes up dates and occasionally just gives out inaccurate information on the topic. Recommend him if you want an easy class and don't care to much about getting a lecture on the subject.

Farnsworth is a very nice guy dont get me wrong but he told us we could buy the old edition of the text book which was not like anything that was on the final. Therefore lots of people's grades suffered. You have to show up to class to get credit towards part of your grade.

I loved going to class everyday, he is always excited to see everyone in class. Attendance is a must! It is a fairly easy class, you learn what you decide to take in. He is very helpful and an expert in history. (I thought his jokes were hilarious!!)

Very easy course. The professor is extremely kind. It's an easy A if you can stand the dull classes and material. Know the study guide and you'll ace the final, which is practically your whole grade.

Professor Farnsworth is super nice, but I think he's too old to be teaching. I literally learned NOTHING all semester, even though I was in class everyday. Your grade is attendance, a midterm paper, and the final. That's it. Complete waste of time, but a fairly easy class.

Nice old man. Really knows his history. Attendance is worth a 3rd of your grade so attendance is highly encouraged. He teaches through lecture but gets side tracked a lot. Book is only used for personal reading of the chapters. No homework other than 2 1 page midterm essay papers. If you are looking for an easy class this is it.

Nice man, knows you by name. Grade only includes attendance, midterm (essay), and the final. Plus a little extra credit. I found it hard to listen to his lectures and to really grasp what he was trying to say through his circulating questioning to teach.

Dennis elected to bring everyone in to the class each day to take turns reading from the text. There was zero additional input from the instructor, and no value added by his presence. Smart guy, apparently very caring, but unengaged, disinterested and unwilling to commit himself to the task. Take his classes for easy grades, not to learn.

Farnsworth was a very nice teacher. He really enjoys US econ. history. He also gets to know you by your first name with the way he calls roll. There is only one paper, and it is easy. Extra credit for not making "cow trails" on the grass at UVU is nice. He is mainly conservative in his views. Has taught there for 40 years now. Call him Mr. or chief

He is such a nice professor with a very caring heart. He is very passionate about the subject and knows a lot. I found him easy enough to listen to, especially if I was doing something absent mindedly. They are interesting lectures but easy to space out sometimes. The final was a bit hard, but he gives out a study guide with all the material used.
