Dr. Lape is certainly a hard grader. He terrified me after my first class with him. I'll tell you what though, I graduated a few years ago & can honestly say that he's one of the best influences on my graduate & teaching career. I miss him dearly & our off-key conversations. Stick through it - the hardest teachers are often the most beneficial.

Lape is SO hard. His tests are hard, even if you study your brains out. His papers are even harder, it is impossible to get an A. He is too old to accept new ideas so be prepared to only hear his ancient views of Shakespeare's works. RC needs someone else to teach this class. Class really sucks

Lape is an awesome professor, he knows so much about so many things and he has some interesting stories. The only thing is that he really is a hard grader, especially on papers, most likely because he does know so much.

Dr. Lape is a nice guy, but his teaching leaves a lot to be desired. He'll skip over something in class but then put tons of it on the test. His class is really boring-- all he does is read out of the book after he already made us watch the movie.
