Dr.McNair is a professor that is not much help at all, and he does not care to help much either. His tests are ridiculous no matter how much you study for them because points get taken off for everything!!!

Dr McNair is a nice guy but he is a very difficult teacher. you have to put tons of time into this class but if you do it pays off in the end. However, I probably wouldn't take this class until you need it for your major!

I took Dr. McNair for both Animal Physiology and Ecology of Infectious Disease (Bio 1197). Both classes were very difficult and demanding, but I learned soo much in both of them. You need to study very hard and extensively to get anywhere close to an A. His teaching style utilizes illustrations from the book and lecture. TAKE GOOD NOTES!!

Dr. McNair is an awesome teacher. He always has something funny to say and keep the material interesting. Tests are hard if you decided not to study. Make sure you take notes on his lecture or you will have a hard time on the test. Don't bother with the book, I never opened it once. Take him!

Wow, god this class sucks! Tests easy, Lectures endless. SOOO boring. Way to old to be teaching. Felt like that 50 min was too long. He teaches about the dumbest stuff, info I learned in highschool bio. He thinks he's so funny with really dumb jokes. He just makes me feel embarrassed for him. I really don't recomend, oh, don't bother with the book.

I did not like this class at all. It was extremely hard. He tries to be helpful but his style of teaching is very hard. He talks all class long and the tests were all essay. You have to know what you are talking about and agree with his thoughts. The papers are also hard he will check them for you first but I found that I did better if he didnt.

Dr. McNair is one of those few professors who is absolutely exceptional at what he does. I have had him for 3 of my classes, and my first impression was that he was a bit too strict, but now I can honestly say that he is the best teacher I have had. He loves his job, his students, and more than anything, he wants his students to improve ourselves.

This is NOT AN EASY CLASS! If you don't need this class, don't take it. I studied hard for the tests and read the book, but i was only able to pull off a C. The tests are hard and that is all you are graded on. If you don't take tests well then don't take this class.

I can't stand this guy. Class was boring, but I paid attention and worked my ass off only to get a C. The choices on MC tests were all so goddamn similar you couldn't pick the right one if you were given 3 attempts. This is a non-major course, but hard enough that a science major would have issues!!

Unfair bias towards the female sex. He would not let me complete my Biology minor on time with a one credit independent study, so I'm graduating with 17 credits in biology and no minor. Sorry head of a department.
