Comment:

I had Mr. Sear for Art Appreciation. Although I hate art, he was a very good teacher. His tests can be very difficult if you do not study for them. Be sure to look up every picture he tells you to prior to the test date. Besides that, he gives you a chance to receive 30 extra bonus points. Very easy to get along with and loves what he does.

I took both art histories he teaches and enjoyed both quite a bit more than I expected I would. I came into the first one with no interest in art and after two courses am now an avid art fan. I would recommend taking one of them to anyone simply as a means of broadening their horizons.

Wonderful instructor. Made me look at art a completely different way! Tests can be a little hard, but as long as you listen in class and go over the handout he gives you then you should do fine. I passed the class with an A. You can tell he is very passionate about art and he made the class very interesting!

Mr. Sears is by far one of my favorite teachers! He really cares for his students! His lectures are from powerpoints so attendance is mandatory if your going to take him but his tests are easy if you look over your notes and the handouts he gives you! Very recommended teacher!

Mr. Sears is an extremely smart man. He makes art interesting. I like his teaching method. You have to study but I had a 4.0 in a mini-mester and I knew nothing about art prior to his class. Now I actually enjoy veiwing art. I HIGHLY reccommend him.

Mr. Sears is my favorite professor. He is a super nice guy and a good teacher. He almost made me want to change my major to Art after being in his class. He give a handout for the test, but don't rely on it alone. Know your notes and the artwork. He gives bonus points for going to Gallery Talks, and the 1 page papers you have to write are easy.
