Don't mess up on the 1st test. I made a 60 on the first test but did well on the other three..and managed to get a B. He's a great teacher, probably the best I've ever had at UT

Hopko is a cool dude, and fronts like he is not out to get you, but it seemed that no matter how hard I tried, I was never prepared for his tests. He claims to use about 50-50 text and lecture, but in all honesty its more like 90% of some material that he must just pull from the back of his head. The tests are difficult and detailed, not an easy A.

Dr. Hopko is a really awesome professor. His lectures are interesting and he is very approachable. But, be warned, this class is extremely challenging. You absolutely cannot pass if you do not attend basically every lecture and actively read the text taking good notes. Enjoyed this class though.

This class was so hard, I just had to drop it. The class test score average for the first test was a 57, second test was a 67. You can go to every single class, read the book and still fail his tests because his questions are SO tricky. Oh. And test scores are the only points that matter. It's impossible.

The only grades in the class are 4 exams and 6 attendence points. No study guides. No homework or quizes. No extra credit. Exams draw off of lectures as much as text. He makes the lectures very interesting, but he does not post Power Point presentations to Blackboard. 56% of the class got a D or F on the first exam.

Dr. Hopko is my favorite! For all you psych majors who are looking to go into clinical work, ask him about being his research assistant. He is so much fun!! His class is tough but my material is really interesting and he makes class a lot of fun!
