Dr. Johnson is kind of rude. His lectures are all over the place and he constantly changes things. After presentations, he gives feedback to the whole class but he singles people out in front of the whole class. The feedback he gives comes off as very condescending and rude. Do not take him especially if you have anxiety about giving speeches.

One of the worst professors I've ever had. Extremely inconsistent when grading things, and constantly changes requirements. Extremely unorganized, rude, and unclear with instructions. Frequently late to class. Expected a class of COM majors to write a 10-page lesson plan (WE ARE NOT EDUCATION MAJORS!) as a "final exam." Class was a waste of time.

Dr. Johnson taught my senior capstone class and was unorganized, all over the place, not transparent with direction of project, rude, and overall the worst professor for this class. He used our projects to set his own agenda and make himself look good.

He gets straight to the point and some people really can't handle it. I think Dr. Johnson brought my whole class closer together. If you are not doing well, just tell him and he will point you in the right direction. Listen to what he tells you to do and you will do well. My whole class would recommend him.

his sense of humor is strange, so people mistake him as being rude. but honestly his class isn't hard and he helps you when you ask for it. he's straight to the point, which some people can't handle. but he's only honest so that you can do well. i would take him again.

He's a really good professor. His critics might come out as rude and it may seem impossible to please him with your presentations but he means well. He might criticize you in front of the class but in the end he knows you tried and he would give you a good grade. I found his class interesting.

It's been several years since I was in his class, but he is basically very nice and good at what he does, but he has a vendetta against theatre majors. He does take cheep shots and humiliate you whether or not you did a good job.

The good: He is a very good speech coach. He is analytical and able to directly address any issue that you have with your speech. After taking his intro class I am a much more fluid and fluent speaker. The Bad: He can be rude and defensive when challenged, but that is the execption, usually he is respectful and willing to discuss anything.

Very nice guy. Highly recommend for intro to speech. He does grade a little tough on the speeches, but if you do what he asks you to (which isn't much) it's easy. Class was always interesting and he made it fun. Take him! You won't be disappointed.

Very easy class. He lets you practice in class and explains what he wants. Sometimes he tells you what he wants over a few class periods, but make sure you write it all down and get it done. Easy A if you do the work and read the books. He is nice and makes the class fun. You should take him if you can.

Dr. Johnson was a great professor. Take him if you are able! He's very helpful and informative. If you take his class as an elective, still take it seriously. It's a rewarding class and everyone should have to take it as a gen-ed. As long as you come to class, pay attention and do the readings, it's an easy A. He's very fair and fun.

Easy Prof. Speeches are easy, but do not read from any notes. He stopped one of my speeches and made redo it completely. Final group speech is easy,didnt prepare for it at all and he said it was my best speech all semester. Makes you tape your speeches and watch them. Final written test was so easy. Def go to class. prof is fun and entertaining.

Awesome Awesome Awesome!!! You have to do work, like actually reading the chapters- but he goes over everything in class, and he does a pre-exam study class. so you learn and have fun- cant really beat it. and it's a bonus that hes a hot red chilli pepper!!
