Teacher is AWESOME!!! Really will make you work, but in the long run, it pays off. I am not really sure about the favorites comments on this site, but she seems really fare and understanding towards everyone. My whole class loves her! Probably one of the best teachers I have ever had, especially for a very difficult language!

Initially I wanted to major in Chinese, but I had quite the experience. She definitely has favorites and she neglects other, therefore not a fair grader. For those that she neglects, she avoids giving extra help and sends excuses on how busy her schedule is. She also is judgmental towards her students.

She's the worst professor I've ever had! She plays favorites and as a result grades unfairly! She says one thing and then does another...She has also started sabotaging students' grades by taking off points for writing too big or too small. This major was the reason I went to Drew and now I wouldn't tell anyone to take a class taught by her!

yes i took 7 courses with her. 5 language. and 2 cultural. culture classes were boring for me because of lack of interest on my part. but language courses were excellent if u're willing to do the work which is ALOT. u really got to put in at least an hour a day for the language, learning the characters is hard (writing: stroke order is important and she will get u for it; and pronunciation: 4 tones, but she's not so strict with that); grammar is easy. very very very very nice lady. but fair.
