Dinah is brilliant, focused, and tops in her field. She has little tolerance for underachievers and agreed, she's very, very moody. You'll learn a lot but work for it for sure. She was a feminist role model for me when I was at USM and while her criticism hurt, it was just part of her personality. Plus her husband was pretty hot.

We did not hit it off at first, and the material was hard for me. After she got to know me, things fell into place. Very intelligent, somewhat inflexible which is to be expected from a veteran prof.

Dinah is a great teacher. She's just VERY MOODY. I have lots of experience with her and even I cannot tell when she's going to blow. However- she's possibly one of the smartest women I know, so you are guaranteed to learn a lot. Just come prepared and you'll be fine. And for the love of god, know the difference between a monkey and an ape.

Dinah IS a hard teacher, but with all the work she gives to students she creates 2X as much for herself. She's very into her work and a busy woman, she doesn't have time for slackers- and she'll tell you that! She can be snappy at times, but usually when people are not participating or doing their share. If you want to learn A LOT- take her class!

Very passionate about what she teaches, and fascinated with any new, relevant information. Dinah will go out of her way to find resources that help you learn the material. Fair grading procedures, challenging work, attendence is a MUST. She wants students to do well in her class, and gives plenty of oppurtunities for that to happen.
