I am currently a senior and all the way through the dietetic curriculum. I have a GPA of 3.8 and the most ridiculous class I have ever taken is her KNH 102 course. I received my only C ever bc the professor is the most ridiculous off the wall person I have ever encountered giving you no information to prepare for impossible exams. WORST EVER!

Absolutely awful! All three exams given were over absolutely nothing covered in her lectures. I squeezed by with a C in her class-even after spending hours studying for her exams! Rambles on and on about nothing. Only good thing was she consistently let class out a good hour and a half early. I would not recommend this professor!!!!!

I had Dr. Spillman for 102 and 408. Not only is she rude, but gives her entire department a bad reputation. Her exams are not based on lectures, but that isn't a problem because most of her time is spent spinning outrageous lies and teaching information that is flat out wrong. The KNH department would be a much better place without her.

she is INSANE! Teaches whatever she wants and makes up random stuff. spends more time talking about random magazine articles and her own accomplishments than she does teaching. Very discouraging if you go to her for help and barely helps you. She contradicts herself all the time and the tests are extremely difficult. Avoid her if you can!

She is the worst teacher i have ever had. She isn't in the least bit credible and should not be teaching at all. She can't pronounce common words let alone those related to the field. She told our class that you can get hepatitis c from shaking hands amongst. every negative review about her is dead on.

Great teacher! I have learned the most in this class and I definitely recommend her. She has an intricate way of teaching that is extremely helpful. She is by far, my favorite and my best teacher.

First of all, she doesn't really teach anything related to nutrition. Her lectures are a series of unbelievable stories that take you on a tour of her past, which are surely lies. The exams are very old and over material she does not cover, nor is in the book. Your best best for this class is to have previous knowledge cuz nothing is taught.

She is a riot!! Class was always fun! She always had some hilarious dirty joke to tell. Not to mention she's such a great Prof who is soooo knowledgable and easy to learn from!

Really cool lady with lots of bizarre stories to tell. Enthusiastic and helpful and has a sense of humor with a bite to it. Class was once a week, so there was a lot of info crammed in, but if you just paid attention and did the reading, it wasn't hard. I got a kick out of the class.

I love Dr Spillman and am so glad that she's my advisor AND that I'll get to have her as a teacher for multiple more classes! I was actually sad that her class was only once a week because I enjoyed it so much! She's the kind of teacher you want to hug - or give chocolate to ;)
