Grimes is knowledgeable & helpful. This class was cool but its definitely not an easy A. Its really driven by reading materials-sometimes she makes you take notes-& class discussions. You're required to meditate at home & journal about the experience. 1 Group Project, 3 quizzes, no papers. Shes strict on attendance and big on no cell phones!

Grimes was the best professor I've had in college thus far. She makes the information interesting and really gets you thinking about the material inside and outside of the classroom. She gives a lot of busy work, but the readings are very crucial to the pass and by writing the reflections she asks for you absorb the information very well.

Grimes is a very smart and deeply educated professor. However, her teaching abilities lack. Her work takes up my entire week. Every class we have to read 30 page complicated articles and write reading notes for them. Very time consuming and she doesn't let you go to the bathroom or use your phone AT ALL, she will take phone from you! Don't take it!

Comment:
Grimes is a smart person but does not play well with others. Her personal views flood her course and she can be very unfair and belittle students to the point of personal insult. The course makes little no to progress week to week addressing the same issues every class. She makes you do reading notes that are way to long and useless.

Professor Grimmes lectures and insight has helped me in both my academics and career. I highly recommend taking her diversity class. Be willing to share personal experiences and read and do the assignments and you will definitely be glad you did. She is clearly passionate about her chosen field and that makes her class interesting and enlightening.

She's really confusing and bad at explaining things but wants students to do well, gives you the exam questions and offers a lot of extra credit. Do extra LTD notes, it brought my grade up a whole grade. Also, take the time to read the textbook and teach yourself (you will learn more) esp because not much gets done in class

I thought this class was very easy. Some people had trouble understanding the concepts, though. She's not the best at explaining things, but she definitely makes an effort to help her students. She was very nice to me, but she favors girls.

She was an awesome professor. I really enjoyed having her. She opened up lines between cliques and made people socialize that probably would have never done so outside of her class. I am glad to see that she is still doing so.
