Comment:
An alright lecturer overall. Her lectures were generally dull, and I ended up skipping most and just reviewing with the slides. I felt bad for her as she was constrained into a weird teaching style because of an educational grant for the department. The TA's in this class are your friends, ask them to clarify!

This is a very difficult course, but Dr Rover taught it well. She put a lot of burden on the students to learn the material by themselves, but I think it was a good thing. I couldnt just go to class and memeorize the information. I had to learn how to use a technical manual and that knowledge is much more portable than knowing one microprocessor.

She may not have the best lectures , but she is a down to earth professor!!! Lectures may not be useful, but I highly recommend going to office hours. The class is challenging, but she challenges students to prepare for the real world and figure out problems themselves.

This teacher should seriously consider quitting. She didn't teach anything helpful in the entire course, I'm not even sure if she understood anything to start with. She can't answer questions, a tough grader, and very unorganized and unstructured. If you want to learn, don't take this course with her.

Unorganized, bad lecture notes, unclear expectations, overall terrible teacher; This is what you have to look forward to with this professor. She was really bad, the only thing that was pretty good in this course was the TA's, without them I would have failed.

This was the worst professor I have ever had. She seemed to know absolutely nothing about the course and going to class wasn't really worth it. I knew about as much after class as before. She was unorganized, unclear, and the only thing that got me through this course was the heavy curve and the lab TA's for studying right before the exams.

Poor lectures that did not actually teach anything helpful to the subject. All classmates struggled through tests, quizzes, homework, and labs because students did not understand what was going on.

Very good instructor, very supportive. She will teach one of the System Level Design Languages SLDL (SystemC, SpecC ..etc). Dr. Rover takes quite a while to grade homework and the quiz, but she knows what she is doing and you will get your grades back with a great/detailed feedback.

Fantastic teacher. Looked forward to going to class, the lab was very helpful to learn the application of the theory taught in class. Very approachable and helpful if contacted outside of class.

She spoke very fluently, which is a rarity in this department. Effective communication, and very available to discuss issues outside of class. She was the awesomnest Cpr E teacher ever!

Decent teacher. Labs are long. Sometimes rambles in lecture. However, exams are fair, homework is fair (if long), and she is very helpful if contacted outside of class. She is also very speedy regarding e-mail correspondance.
